It's not just fastpass+ that bothers me

Things like this are changing all the time, but for now you can hop to a second park and get additional FP once your original three are used up in the first park. (Unclear if you have to get the additional passes at a kiosk, or if you can use one of the online systems.) That's the way things are working this week - no promises that it will be the same next week!

I have tried booking more online and no luck. The kiosks at the parks for booking FB are crazy long. And they seem to move really slow as well, so I'm not about to try that. It's working out fine.

Sorry, but this sounds like sheer entitlement to me.

ETA, I don't really have that much to do at Universal/IoA. It's pretty boring for us so we would never stay there again. (We've stayed at Portofino Bay, and it was okay, nothing special.)

You can call it whatever you want...I learned how to navigate the parks and utilize our time so we could enjoy vacation. If I have 3 fp and stand by lines are not moving... Our family is not going to have fun. Period. And I have stayed club at both grand Floridian and Polynesian and both royal pacific and portofino are way above disney. And now they're adding Dvc to both places without adding pools and monorail space and it's just easier to not go to disney. Period. I just gave my opinion...why are you so offended and have to make a dig at me. Entitlement...whatever!!!!

I'm not offended. It's good you are going somewhere that your family will have fun. But, like I've said about these threads over and over, posting a temper tantrum on a Disney message board about why you aren't going back doesn't really do anything for me.

I've found that some of the more out-of-the-way kiosks have much shorter lines than the ones right in the flow of guest traffic. It might be worthwhile to see if you can find one on the map that isn't likely to be swamped.

By the way, I did get confirmation a few minutes ago that the more-then-three FP scheduling will, for now, only be possible at the kiosks. Whether that includes the CM-operated tablets, I can't say for sure.

Wait, what? Did you do this yourself?

It must do something for you, because you're here posting about it and contributing to the "tantrum".

Any idea if this works "in reverse?" What I mean is:

If you booked 3 FP+ for the evening at HS using MDE at 60 days, could you show up at MK in the AM and book 3 FP's at one of the kiosks?

Wait, what? Did you do this yourself?

I did it back in January, but I did get confirmed earlier today that at least for now - and things change all the time during testing - anyone can do this.

As I said elsewhere, the additional ones have to be booked at a kiosk, and it has to be after the window for your three pre-booked passes have passed.

I remember you posting about this then actually, you didn't use a magic band, correct?

I tried this with my MB in February, daytime FP+ at Epcot, tried at a kiosk in MK in the evening. Did not work.

I asked the same question, and as it was explained to me, the answer seems to be no. you can't get the fourth one until the first three have passed.

Would be a nice idea though, you're right. As more data is gathered on how guests are using the system, changes will continue to be made. This might be one of them. (But that is a pure guess on my part.)

You are the first person to report this. Good news indeed because the CM at the FP+ kiosk on Thursday told me that they hope to make park hopping and additional fast passes available at some point.

you are correct. I used my card rather than my band. (Both, though, were through my MM+ account, so it wasn't a legacy FP.) However, what I have learned today confirms that this will not make a difference.

It's also quite possible that in January, I was in a different, and rather small, "testing bucket", whereby my account might operate differently than another guest who was in a different bucket. That might explain why your experience was different from mine. My impression is that these buckets are becoming less significant, as the system is working the same for a higher percentage of guests, hopefully soon reaching the point where everyone's account works the same.

I'm not questioning if you are correct, rather I am curious the source of this info. Is this from someone you know that went to the park and experienced this today, or are you getting info from employees/insider? Or would you rather not say...

Chastising those who "throw a tantrum" hardly seems productive itself. You can like or dislike whatever you wish and post that of course but every opinion is just as valuable (or not) as those who "throw tantrums".

Understood. I'll just say it's someone high up in park planning operations who is in a position to know stuff like this. And she has made it clear that she does not "leak" information that is not intended for public knowledge, so this is not intended to be a secret.

I'm just the type of person who goes to Disney for Disney. I would rather stay home than waste money on a US vacation. More power to the people who get the same joy from both parks, but in my eyes, US isn't even a blip on my vacation radar.

So does this only work if you park hop, or can you get more from a Kiosk after your first three expire, but in the same park?

From the same source - and the explanation is a bit funky - after your initial three reservations, you can get a fourth in the same park, but *only* if the first three were pre-booked. Apparently you can't get four same-day reservations.

If I understood correctly, the fourth one would be available once you've used your first, the fifth once you've used your second, and so on.

Caveat again - these things can be changing rapidly. But for the moment, that's how it's working. (And, again, I believe these additional reservations have to be made at a kiosk.)

I just want to say I love Disney. That being said I agree with the Poster. The parks are very crowded and waiting 20 minutes for The Pirates is getting old. The Studio offers nothing new. We waited three days to get a Toy Story pass. Indiana Jones went out in the 80's and the Backlot tour as usual was closed. Not much more to do there. The Mine ride took years to open. That was for one ride! Try getting a fast pass for that one. Disney needs to open new rides in all the parks and not take years doing it. Our next trip will be doing Universal and Sea World.
