I am a planner, and all of this secret keeping is not doing my planning any good!! I neeeeeed to start having some kind of plan or I will go mad!
Some advice would be gratefully received on the following things....

We are booked to stay in the Hotel L'Elysee (prob spelt that wrong!), we are only staying for one night but having 2 days in parks. When we arrive on direct eurostar it will be almost 2pm. What would you say the best plan for check in would be? The park is open until 11pm the day we arrive (17th) so should we quickly hop on shuttle bus (or train?) check in straight away and then head to the park. Would I be right in thinking that would be about 30mins lost? I am just not sure if we can check in as late as 11.30/12 and I am fully intending to stay in park until closing to make most of time!

We are going to eat lunch on eurostar on way then have some kind of cs or snack in the evening. Where would you recommend that is quick, easy and cheap?! Would it be best to nip out to DV?

The next day we will have breakfast in our hotel then head to parks for EMH, I have today booked Cafe Mickeys for 12midday lunch so we can share a pizza meet characters. Is this the right thing to do? Are the characters out at this time?

Then our Eurostar home is just after 6pm so I think we need to head to station at about 5.15ish? (again thoughts on this please)

I really need to cram as much in as poss on the 2 days we have, we will have our 3 year old with us and I am taking a pushchair for him, will wake him up for dreams if necessary! He is not missing it!! :rotfl:
So Rides we must not miss are : slinky dog, cars, buzz lightyear, peter pan, dumbo, POTC, IASW. I also would really like to see the parade in disney studios as we have not seen this before. I am also open to other sugestions! So any hints and tips on how to cram in would be fab and much appreciated!!

How exciting!!

Never stayed at your hotel I'm afraid. Re checking in, depends on lo - ours couldn't cope with late hours so we've never done this, but if it were me I would go and book in first. Dump bags, sort out pjs etc so you can fall straight into bed when you get back.

Annettes in the village is good for snacks - they do take out, and Earl of Sandwich. If you want to stay in the park we like Casey's Corner - 'fast food' is not - be prepared to wait a good 20 mins even if it doesn't look like there's much of a queue! Take a few snacks with you for emergencies.

Characters are in Cafe Mickey 12-3. We always go for 12 and love it.

Our son loves the Playhouse Disney show in Studios

And of course, the usual tips - comfortable shoes, pick a spare schedule when you go in (they are hard to find inside), and lots of patience and good humour!

Definitely check in first, there's no place really to leave your bags otherwise. 30 minutes might be pushing it for check-in and getting back to the park, I'd say nearer an hour - 10-15 mins each way, 20-30 mins to check-in & find room (if available it may not be until mid afternoon) then the return bus trip back to the park.

Our favourite counter meal is the half-roast chicken in Challet de la marionette, near Peter Pan but there are slots of nice counter meals around for a quick snack. Can't advise on Cafe Mickey but I think characters are there all the time.

Do Dumbo, Peter Pan and Buzz during EMH and anything else open, do Buzz last if the queue for Peter Pan is small as Buzz can take a bit of time and EMH may have ended by the time you get on it. We really noticed a difference in crowds after coming out of Buzz.

We did a similar trip a few years ago, arriving at lunchtime by car and leaving around 6 the following day. We ate at Cseys but neither of our children liked the hot dogs unfortunately.

In the Studios, I would try and see Playhouse Disney and Stitch Live! The other shows are good but maybe not for a 3 yo. The car stunt show is also good.

Everyone else pretty much has your questions answered perfectly, but the one thing I would suggest is do not eat on the eurostar! The food is ridiculously overpriced and well...dreadful. You can easily get some nice sandwiches from St Pancras (I assume that's where you're leaving from) if not take something with you, the last time I ate on the eurostar I felt sick for the rest of the day! The first time I went I bought a really nice bagel from a shop around St Pancras (I'm sorry I cannot remember where it was though!) but my point is they do keep whilst you're on there :) every other time i've just bought like a little packed lunch with me.

And somewhere quick easy and cheap, my favourites are Toad Hall, Challet de la marionette or Colonel Hathi's. :)

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks everyone! :thumbsup2

Will deffo check in before heading to parks then, good idea about laying pj's out ready too!

I had forgotten all about Stich Live! We have not done this and ds loves Lilo and Stich so I will put that on my list. I cant decide on the stunt show because me and oh have done it in WDW and although we loved it I am not sure if DS will sit through it for that long.

We are going from Ebsfleet so will deffo make up a packed lunch before we go

Definitely check in first, there's no place really to leave your bags otherwise.

There is a "consigne" (i.e. a baggage deposit) near Guests relations outside the park. It's on the right side of the entrance.
However it's quite costly, I remember 7 euros for one mid size bag, I don't know about big bags.

it's more useful the day you leave, so you can bring the bags with you in the morning and take those when you leave without having to go back to the hotel after the day in the park.
