Morning all.

Just got up, weather looking a bit overcast. In fact it could be raining because the river that runs round the area looks like it has rain drops landing in it, either that are there are a load of big fish in it. May have to take the Mick Mack out.

We had breakfast in the room, using the food bought from the supermarket yesterday.

Today we are off to MGM or Hollywood Studios as I think it is called now. The hubbie has just said it is raining, not to worry it is warm rain.

I am going to get ready now, cya later.

Have fun at MGM(i still call it that)can't wait to read about it later.x.

Have a great day - I like the warm rain (not like here where it is very, very cold rain!!)

hope you had a great day

Thanks, this is what we did.

t wasnt raining, thank goodness just a bit overcast but warm when we set off for Hollywood Studios. We left at about 8.15 and arrived about 20 minutes later, not bad.

We were there for the rope drop and immediately headed for Rock n Rollercoaster first, DH picked up fast passes for the ride too. Very kindly Aerosmith had sent us their stretch limo to take us to their concert but it was driven by a crazy driver that set off at 60 miles per hour within 4 seconds.

DH, DS19 and DS17 went to look around a hotel but, unfortunately, it had a dodgy lift that shot up fast then dropped down a few times. They enjoyed the sensation, I was glad I have decided to take some photos instead.

We were picked up by that crazy limo driver outside the hotel and taken to Aerosmiths concert again. We managed to get their in one piece, despite going upside down at one point. The standby line for this ride at 9.45 am was 35 minutes.

Next a crazy robot tried to take us to Endor but didnt quite manage it. The standby time for this ride was 10 minutes.

We were invited on a backstreet tour of the set, standby line 20 minutes, and saw various effects and articles from films. On the tour we nearly got burnt and drenched by a set that decided to go into action when we were driving through, some catastrophe movie they are filming. I was pleased to see some new film articles at the drop off point, in particular costumes from the latest Pirates film plus the organ from the Flying Dutchman.

We tried to fast pass Hollywoods latest ride, Toystory Mania at 11.10 am but the return time was 5.35 pm and there was no single rider line in operation today. We will probably try it another day.

On the way round we saw some cars and motorbikes chasing round at high speed and jumping across ramps. Fortunately, we were well away from the action but took plenty of class photos.

It was lunch time but only me felt hungry. They had had a cookie and sweetie bar so had filled up on junk before the Lights Motor Action show. We were just deciding what to do next when great gusts of wind whorled up, there was a storm on the way.

Sure enough a few minutes later, great drops of water started to fall and everyone went for cover. We decided to head out of the park and go to the Florida Mall, Toys R Us (for a travel game I was after) and a Mexican place DS19 was after going to (he had tried it last September when he visited some US student friends in Minneapolis).

They bought clothes from the Mall, I didnt find my game and we didnt fine the restaurant so we headed back to the hotel via Universal Boulevard which runs adjacent to IDrive. It took us a while to cross IDrive because of the drivers covering our road up when they couldnt drive further up their own road, crazy they were. We were glad to get back to Hard Rock.

We went to City Walk which is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel for tea to the Nascar Cafe. Me and DSW17 had chicken tenders, DH pasta and DS19 a chilli burger. All of which was nice and we bought the souvenir photo they took of us. The lads and DH also played pool for a couple of games.

We had a short return to the hotel before going back to Universal. Tackling The Mummy and Men in Black together before leaving the kids to do Men in Black, whilst we did Jaws, got a coffee and OJ, and watched Fear Factor. After which we all met up again and did The Mummy 3 times before leaving the park.

I am quite tired now so just going to upload it In the morning. Night.

Sounded like an excellent day-we are thinking of eating at Nascar-is it expensive?.x.

$72 meal for 4 with drink, plus photo and 10% off with our annual pass.

Wow, what a bargain at the Nascar Cafe, I will have to add that to the list. Sounds like another great day, hope you manage to ride Toy Story Mania another day.

Yes you do go upside down on it but somehow your bag still stays at your feet.

My personal tower of terror.

Still waiting.

This landmark houses a shop and is handy to dive into if the heaven's open like they did when we were there.

This character is my 3 year old niece's favourite, she knows all the words to Snow White and can sing all the songs, though she fast forwards the bits with the queen in because she doesn't like her.

Attention to detail is so fantastic in all these theme parks, Star Tours Ride.

Waiting for the Lights Camera Action Show, I know this is the wrong name just cannot remember what it is called at the moment and this is what I usually call it in any case, hopeless case I am.

Same show as above.

We always seat high up at the back in the SHADE, made the mistake the first year of sitting near the front, in the full sun on metal seats, never again, if I had been a snowman I would not be here now to tell you about it.
