just found out a friend who had CF passed away.. Bah. Finding these things out over Facebook is terrible..

Yeah. I texted the friend who posted it , found out more. He'd gone in for a checkup,his blood sugar was weird.... but they found an infection, couldn't get it, he ended up in a coma.Angel16 said:I am so sorry Tina. It is a very nasty disease. And finding out through Facebook is so difficult.

Was really hoping he'd eventually make it on a transplant list.
Realized I never explained this so....
He was/is both. However he has left the risky actions pretty much behind him.
My DH is a surveyor and covers many parts of the state. Lightning is not uncommon all year long here. The first time he was in the military and on TDY.
The second he was surveying and lightning hit a metal fence he was next to, he was knocked to the ground and out cold for a few minutes. No burns or injury from either one.
He is always very lucky with lottery tickets, speeding tickets, gambling, finding money. Maybe we all need to get hit by lightning.
At the time it sure was. Now it is a great story, especially when he tells it.

Monday the Doc said it looks the best it has since he took over her case in May. Medicare allows here five of the Applegrafts and got her fifth one on Monday. I like when she gets those because the dressing changes are much simpler and only have to be done every other day.
Next week she will have to switch to another "product". She gets her last dose of the antibiotics for the infection tomorrow and they will take out the pik line. She will be so happy about that, the darned thing catches on everything and is a real PITA.
It would be really nice if we could actually go on our F&W trip and she could take a shower on vacation without me having to bring along Saran Wrap and medical tape!
I can tell you it's definitely not "fine" wine!There's normally a 3 wine selection, 2 whites (Chardonnay and ?) and a red.
We like the beer selection much better!Tusker (the only other place we've ever found that is at the Dawa Bar at Animal Kingdom) and Yuengling.

Good morning and Happy Friday! 
so I get to add two days onto my trip, one extra park days and another for our last night. I figured that the day I run the half marathon I am not going to want to be in a park, so we are going to spend the day relaxing going swimming and downtown disney.
