....hey, how cool is THIS? my DS's GF's dad "knows people", and found out Martin Scorcese is filming in no. Bergen County...starring Matthew McConaughey and Leo DiCaprio. It's called The Wolf of Wall Street and it's a closed set....they left a while ago to go meet them!

That is Cool! We all need details when they get back.

So I'm totally confused where does your not knowing what is going on part of the vacy fitting in and how can you go away for so long? Our cats have a fit when we are gone ten days, we don't dare plan trips longer than that (or is it Fran who has the fits? ) either way 10 is the max I'm allowed. and even then I get flamed in the last day or two...

I laughed so hard at your post...it just hit me funny. So to help you become unconfused:

The part my DH has planed is after Disney (Oct. 5th). We had planned to be at WDW for the DIS meet and Wine & Dine at Swan/Dolphin (or at least I though we were).

We have two dogs who LOVE our house sitter. She is going to school for her degree, works a few hours a week and lives at home to save money. She is very happy to stay at our home, care for our furry kids and enjoys being on her own. All her favorite food and beverages are provided and naturally we pay her. We have known her and her family since she was very little and she has been house sitting for us for years. Our fur babies actually enjoy our vacations as they get someone who will play with them for an hour or two a couple times a day. When we get home the male will not have anything to do with DH for a few days, we figure it is because he feels if I am not at home HE must have taken me away. The female loves everyone and is a total flirt...you know the type... Love the one you with.

My husband loves to travel. The longer, the more exotic the better. But he does not like to cruise. He wants to see places face to face and meet people, take the time to get to know the locals and really experience a place. I will be very surprised if a cruise is something he has planned for us. I am leaning toward your thought of a all inclusive resort.

Hopefully when Fran's leg heals up and she is back on her RA medication she will be able to relaxed more to enjoy a longer trip.

Brandi you mentioned sometime back that your favorite Animal Kingdom dessert was something with a nut base and some other top. What is it called and where do you find it? My DH isn't all that into ZD's but loves nuts and chocolate .

Kim so how did the meeting go yesterday with your son and his girlfriend? Who all did they get to see?

Well friends, I have very good news and bad news.

My DH and I are celebrating our birthdays the end of September. I guess at our age, we should be glad that we can still celebrate. So our daughter, Erin, is coming down for a visit. We haven't seen her since December. Erin and her DH came down to see our new home in Central Florida and then the four of us drove to the AKL for a well deserved vacation.

Since Erin's favorite restaurant is Boma, I have made ADRs at Boma for breakfast and dinner. After breakfast, we'll check out Jambo and Kidani and then we will be doing a little shopping at Downtown Disney. Since we can't go to the Parks, this will be a perfect day to Erin.

I'm laughing as I'm typing this. It's our birthdays, and we are doing all of Erin's favorite things. I guess that is the job of good parents; making sure our kids come first.

The bad news is that on Sept. 11, I'm going to have a hysterectomy. I've been having some problems for over a year, and this is the last resort. I'll only be in the hospital a few days, and will be doing everything I can to get up and around asap so that I will be able to enjoy my time with Erin.

Since I'll be limited to things that I can do for a while, I'll have plenty of time to DIS.

Ann I honestly don't remember anything at AKL... I can tell you that at EPCOT in the German Pavilion, in the Karmel store is a nut bar with fresh Karmel all over, to me it is one of the best desserts around....

They make the Karmel there daily! It is so wonderful.

My best friend surprised us with her DVC points- Jambo House Studio Savanna room for one night in Oct before checking into POP! I've stayed in the regular Savanna rooms twice and love it so I'm anxious to see what the studio is like!!!
