It's never too early....WHO'S GOING DURING 12/04???

We'll be there on the evening of the 17th. We set sail on the 10 day "Magic"al Christmas Cruise the next day, but thought that this would be a great way to get things started.

It will be me, DW and DD (10).

For those who have been- What will the week following Thanksgiving be like (25th is a Thursday)?

We were thinking November 26 to December 5th.

We are going those exact dates, I have never been during this time but from what I have read on these boards, the weekend following Thanksgiving is very busy and then by the next Monday it is much less crowded.

Im sure someone who has gone at this time can tell us for sure!
Im already planning not to get to upset if it is a madhouse when we get there Friday afternoon!!

I'm hoping it's not as busy as the two weeks around Easter were! We were prepared and it was manageable but not the way we like to do WDW!

I'll be there Dec. 4-11. I'm already planning a Jellyrolls meet for Friday, December 10th! Hope lots of folks can come :)

We are going from Dec 17th to Dec 22. I can't wait to see all the Christmas decorations. We usually go in January and by the time we get there, most of the decorations are gone.

I just hope it is not too crowed. I have heard that the crowds come Christmas day to New Year's. I am hoping that will be the case this year. I don't mind a little crowd - part of the Disney experience is interacting with people from all over the world. BUT last year our last day was the Saturday before Martin Luther King day and it was HORRIBLE. I have NEVER been in such a crowd before. We literally got stuck trying to walk from Fantasyland to Haunted Mansion and could not move there were soooooo many people. It took us 20 minutes to walk from the Snow White to It's a Small World and we could not get through the pass to Liberty Square. We turned around and left. So while I don't mind some crowds, I hope to never experience that again.

So heres some pixie dust to wish for manageable crowds on this next trip. I'm wishing, I'm wishing, I'm wishing.........:teeth:

Bumping from page 5
just incase anyone new booked a trip!!
:bounce:

Well it's official..DW and I are going back for our 2nd trip. We cannot wait. I booked it this morning. We cannot wait.

What is the earliest date that you can book but still see all the Xmas decorations?

from what I can tell they put the decorations up on Thanksgiving night. If not the day before. We cannot wait. It is going to be the best. If MMVMCP and or being at WDW at this time does not put you in the spirit of Christmas, then nothing will.

We'll be there from December 4-10! I've never been during the holidays; have always gone during the Spring or Summer. We're really excited though, and the girls just can't stand the wait! We'll be staying at Shades of Green. We'll be taking in one of the Princess Breakfast's (hopefully!) and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!!

Hey were going at the same time. We only have been once and that was the week before Easter of this year. Maybe this will be the new time we go from now on. Oh yes the Christmas party will be a must. Oh HollyJOy if for some reason you can't get the character breakfast this time...try CHef Mickey's. It's right in the Contemp. Resort and is just a short walk from the MK.

I'm bumping us back to the first page because we are nearing 200 days for early December people!!!!!

How is everybody's planning going?

Who has bought MVMCP tix already??

I'm working on my rental car. Trying to decide if I should drop it off at Port Canaveral and take a limo back to MCO, or keep the rental car to get us back to the airport! (Am I making sense!?!?!?)

Wake up everybody---the clock is TICKING!!!

I know the clock is ticking! Yea! Trip planning is going well, we alomost have my Dad and DH talked into one or two sit-down restaurants rather than counter service and bringing a cooler. This is a huge step for both men-she said lovingly. DH still has no clue what the CR is actually costing us, but I'm paying for it with my own money-so it's all good. :D
I've got a tentative itinerary written down thanks to the Passporter and I think I scared my sister and her family out of going with my organization. They were thinking about coming up to stay with my parents after my family switches to the CR-but when I showed her all my tentative lists and possible PS's, she suddenly thought maybe the week after Thanksgiving wouldn't work with her work and school schedule. :p Granted, nothing I've written is set in stone except making sure we rest in the afternoons since we will have 4 kids ranging in age from 6 yrs. to 6 mos. on this trip.
We are most likely going to MVMCP on Nov. 28th as our first event after arriving in FL. My DH has pointed out that even with high gas prices, between buying plane tickets for all of us and renting a car when we get there; we would do better to drive and have our own car to use. I agree-but wish the numbers added up better in favor of flying. To entertain myself, I've been running different travel routes on Rand McNally.com. It insists driving through Memphis, TN and Atlanta, GA from Oklahoma is the "quickest" route-but DH and I disagree with that. I asked about that on the transportation board and got nothing. I may ask again when the trip gets closer.
Sorry about the novel I've written here-can you tell I'm excited about our trip?!

 Hello all. I tried writing earlier and lost the whole thing!!

::yes:: Yes, we are getting close to being under the 200 day mark.

We will be arriving at AKL on 12/12 and staying through the 16, we will board our very first cruise ship on the 16th; our 15th anniversary;)

Currently we are planning on doing AK the day we get there(Sunday), Monday is MK, Tuesday is MGM and Wednesday is Epcot. We believe we will be able to get most of it in as we will rise and :sunny: early every day. No time to rest, we can do that over Christmas break when we get home. Either Monday or Tuesday after the parks close we will go to DTD. We are not planning any RS as we will have plenty of food once we get aboard ship. ::yes:: Not planning on MVMCP as we have plenty of cold and snow here in Maine for when we get back.

Does that sound doable to most of you out there?

Have greatly enjoyed talking to DaveCindy who will be on the Wonder with us but would love to :chat: with more of you. :wave2:
