It's never too early....WHO'S GOING DURING 12/04???

We'll be there December 4-11! We're going with a REALLY large group. :D Our family: me, dh, ds, and d?, Family #1: dh, dw, ds, Family#2: dh, dw, ds, Family #3: dh, dw, dd, ds, and Family #4: dh, dw, dd, d? WOW!!! That's 18 people. Of course, we have already planned to not do most things together--just to meet up in a few parks for a couple of meals, attractions. Otherwise we are planning on getting together at our resort (BWV) during the evenings.

I'm so excited! I've been planning this trip since December '03! (Funny side story: We took a VERY last minute suprise trip in Dec. with the understanding that we would skip Dec. '04 since I am pg with #2. Well, we hadn't been in MGM (first park we visited) a full hour when dh is all feeling the magic and saying how he can't wait to come back next year!. Needless to say, I started my planning right then and there!;) )

As far as what we have planned for this trip: We will do MVMCP on a Tues . (I hope). We also would love to book an IllumiNations Cruise, but may book some kind of Magical Gathering thing instead. We also plan on one adult night for dinner and JellyRolls!:hyper:

Add us to the list! We arrive at our timeshare on Dec 12, CRUISE out on a WONDERful 4 day excursion on the 19th, and return to the Royal Pacific for 3 days and Christmas at USO!! :Pinkbounc TWO WHOLE WEEKS OF HEAVEN! I will miss staying on site, but that's okay. The cruise will make up for that!
When can we expect the date for MVMCP and CP to be released? We plan on doing the CP dinner package...probably Le Cellier too!
I will keep checking this post! As someone had posted on another thread.....
"Hi. My name is 'Chele, and I only have 300 +/- to plan my Disney Vacation!"

We are also arriving Dec. 5th and staying at BCV.

Don't get your hopes up too much about Osbourne Lights though. A very good friend of mine works in research at WDW and sees many complaints/comments about the Spectacle not happening this past season. From what she's been told, IF they come back, it won't be until 2005. Hopefully, her higher-ups are mistaken or someone changes their minds. We loved the lights the two years we got to see them!

::MickeyMo My hubby & I are returning to WDW 12/04. Not sure of the exact dates yet - sometime during the 1st 2 weeks of December. We will be staying at the SOG for the 1st time since its rehab. We went down 12/02 & LOVED it!!! Can't wait to go to another MVMCP & see the Osbourne Lights again. :teeth:

I'm going the week before does that still count??? We will be leaving on Thanksgiving and arriving at Disney on Nov. 27th. Taking the Autotrain down.

It will be me, DH,DD-16,DD-14,DD-11,DD-6,DD-6. We are staying at the HIFS. This will be our first time during the holiday season. Definitly doing MVMCP. I can't wait for tickets to go on sale!!! I'm thinking about going on either Nov. 30th or Dec. 2nd. I would like to also do CP. I'm just not sure where to go for dinner PS. I am keeping every body part crossed hoping that the Osborne Lights are back. My DH thinks I'm nuts to get so excited from now. But I can't wait to go!!

Everyone who is going Have a Great Trip!!!!!

what's your favorite thing about WDW during the holidays?

I do have to say my favorite part of the holidays at Disney is visiting all the resorts. We did this last year and I have sooo many pics. If anyone knows a way I can share Sony Imagestation albums with the public, let me know and I'll post the links to all the pics! Or just PM me and I can send you the personal email invites. I even have pics from MVMCP and CP.
Anyway, my favorite Christmas resort is AKL, but my bf won't stay there because "its out in the middle of nowhere." I'll get him there eventually!

3for Me,
GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

Deb, we are very much leaning toward the autotrain for our Christmas week. I can't wait to hear how it works out for your family. Are you getting sleepers? We're just going coach but the kids (3 sons who will be 8, 11, and 15) think the train sounds like an adventure! I sure hope so. The autotrain is a bit cheaper than five of us flying and renting a car plus the convenience of having our own vehicle packed and not having to lug the suitcases is a big plus. My dh thinks anyone is nuts for getting excited about Disney but that's okay since he actually suggested this trip for a belated bday for me (the big 4~0 in Nov but who's counting!!). I think Disney announces MVMCP dates and CP info in April and I can't wait!!!!!!

Count me in!! After our 1st holiday trip to WDW this past December, I am now hooked! We will probably leave the day after Black Friday (sure did miss that day last year, even though I was at Disney!! ;) ).

The only downside, is we won't be combining a cruise with our park visit this time. :( But, we may do a 7 day Western in April/May '05...if I can get up the nerve to ask my dh!!!

I LOVE DISNEY DURING THE HOLIDAYS!!!!
(heck, who am I kidding? I love Disney anytime!! ::yes:: )

Will be there 12-18 to 12/26. Celebrating b-day #33 with the mouse (because he helps keep me young!)!!! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

We are really hoping we can go this December.
The big factor is if we can find some decent airfare, right now the cheapest is $282 RT.
If we can get it under $200 we will be going :)

Right now we have plans for arriving Dec. 6th and leaving on the 14th. We plan to do one MVMCP on a Tuesday and of course grab a Candle Processional package. We did that last December & it was GREAT! Even my 4 yr old loved the Processional!

I am so hoping the Osbourne lights are back up this year. I was so disappointed they were not up in 2003. We took a short mini trip to WDW last December, mainly for the Christmas decorations.

We would like to stay at the Poly again (did it last December & LOVE IT) but it will depend on AP rates at the time, otherwise we will probably stay at AKL.

We do already have ressies for Hoop Dee Doo for Dec. 10th (my birthday) :)

Already made ressies at FW for 12/2 - 12/11!!!! :bounce: After how lousy this winter in PA has been, we are really looking forward to some Fl sunshine and warmth!! The kids want to do the water parks this year so we'll get a 5 day plus hopper. Definite plans to do MVMCP the Tues. of that week and I have built some 'off' time into the schedule so we can tour some of the resorts as well. We did a round of mini golf in 2002 and the kids also want to go back this year and try the "Summerland" course. We had a blast doing that last time. The 'interactive' effects are great!! :hyper:

Looks like they'll be a whole bunch of us there in Dec!!! :bounce:

I'm sure later in the year the airfare will decrease. Last year, we were going to drive since we didn't think we would get a decent flight, but during the fall, SW came out with some great rates. We ended up flying RT from New Orleans for $120 each. Just keep an eye out.
Another great way to find airfare quickly and easily is to use sidestep.com. It pulled up a flight on American for us for Memorial Day weekend last year to NYC for $170.

If airfare is the only thing keeping you from a Disney trip, I would recommend staying at one of the cheaper resorts! ;)

I will be there from Nov. 28 thru Dec. 2nd. It will include me, DH, DS, DD and then my parents, sister--DH, DD, DD, my brother--DW, DS, DS, DS, and my other brother--DW, DS, DS. We are staying at BCV and I hope to get us moved to OKW. We are planning on doing the MVMCP. We are getting together in MArch to determine the rest of our trip.

Angey, thanks for those pictures! You guys look like you had a blast and you got some truly wonderful shots, especially of Wishes. Several of those should be postcards.

Do you remember where you had your pictures taken with Mickey and Minnie with him in the Santa hat and Minnie in the beautiful sweater? I just can't wait til Christmas!!!!!!!!:jumping1:

Thanks for the compliment! Some of my night shots came out a bit blurry, but I do love those Wishes shots!
We had our pics taken with Mickey and Minnie in Camp Mickey at AK. We had just gotten out of Festival of the Lion King and there was no one in line for either. It was wonderful!

We have been talking about that.

I just hate paying so much for airfare. I am just holding out for a nice airfare sale. I have been checking dialy, nothing so far.
I am not giving up my hopes yet.

But quite honestly, if we can not find cheaper airfare we probably will just stay at a cheaper resort. I have been wanting to see what POR or even ASMo is like

Those are some pretty good rates. Last year we were able to get on the Delta sale and paid $137 RT. That was our deciding factor to take a short trip to WDW in December. That was our first trip in December & we fell in love with it & got bitten by the bug.

I have been watching airfare daily, so far nothing. But I am positive it will go down, just need to have patience. ::yes::

The only bad thing is up here we don't have SouthWest airlines. I heard they have a lot of great sales.

Doesn't that sound WAAAYYYY better than 308 days!?!?!?

We will be there 11/30-12/10 and I have rooms at POP reserved! It will definitely be my fam: me, DH, DD (10), DSs (9 & 7), my parents (75!), and my BF and her husband! We have asked all of my siblings to meet us down there, but we'll see! I gave them until April 1st to give me an answer, as I told them that is when I have to buy MVMCP tickets. (without a deadline, they'd call me on 11/29 and ask if I booked them a room!!!) If they come, we'll be well over 20 people, but we do reunions every two years, so we've learned togetherness is only good when taken in SMALL doses!!! LOL!!!!

We are doing WDW, and will be doing UO as well. Whoever said they are staying at RP be ready for a REAL TREAT!!! Spend some time on the Univ boards, those people are great, too!

I'm still torn on the CP??? Is it worth it for the kids??? I'm also expecting to contact Magical Gatherings---the fireworks cruise is definitely on my list of things to look into. We'll do a few char meals, and I'm low-keying the planning so we can visit the resorts. Hoping it'll be warm enough for water parks.

We've done DL at the holidays, but can't wait to do WDW during the holidays. We've only gone during school breaks (teachers), so we are anxious for lower crowd levels.

I'm glad someone started this thread. I'm on here daily (okay several times daily!) so let's keep it going!!!!

Patti

PS---how much lime green ribbon will it take to muzzle my extended family???? LOL!!!!!

I see that alot of you are going around the same time frame like the 2nd week in Dec. I'm thinking about a little later (12th-19th) Do you think We will have bad crowds then? We were there in 2001 from 12/19-12/27 and from about the 22nd or 23rd on- IT WAS A MADHOUSE!! So we were trying to avoid alot of the crowds Do you think we will still be ok? Thanks, Sandy
