OMG 'the one with MIL' trip is in 12 days!!!!!
Background - Me, DH and DS (9 with ASD) have been many times before, few times to Cheyenne, but in last 3 years in the campervan, which we all love.
MIL was 70 earlier in the year but was having treatment for cancer, so we delayed the trip til now, and she wanted to go as close to Chistmas as possible. We've gone to see the Christmas things several times as its always stunning, but we normally go in early/ mid November, so park has been quieter and we have missed the really bad weather.
So, this time we are staying at Sequoia Lodge, 4 of us sharing a room. We should get there 3pm Thursday, and stay until 5ish on Saturday.
This is Nanna's trip, and we have to think about meals for the first time in ages (in the van we always can feed ourselves if we feel like it). Looking through the threads my concerns now are:
- where to eat? CM seems to be getting bad reviews - what's happening? I am quite nervous about food - I'm a picky vege on Slimming World, Nanna will want a sit down, we are not very good at being organised!
- Dreams - does it start at 7pm? (park closes at 7 on both days we are there) How long does it last?
- Any new must see's?
- Any tips for the Sequoia? Do you get a kettle in the room as standard?
I really feel the cold so I'm a bit worried about what the weather will be like!
