It's my DH fault......

I'm going to DL again!!

We had a trip over Christmas break, DH invited his brother to come along. It was a different kind of trip for us. His brother is not a morning person and I felt we wasted time waiting for him to get his act together each morning.
The parks of course were crowded, I had a plan.. and my plan went out the window to accomadate BIL Some things were a thrill to show him.. but then he would interrupt our flow of plans by stopping to eat junk (ugh), having many more bathroom breaks then any of us needed. And just generally not going with our usual pattern.

That little spark I feel when I walk thru the gates.. was just a fizzle and then quickly went flat.

Anyway.. I was grumbling to DH that I felt like we didn't have a very good vacation.

So he badgered me for the past month..
GO, go by yourself.
You know you always have the best trips when you go solo.
Just charge it, we will pay it off with tax refund.

I'm GOING to DISNEYLAND!



Leaving next Sunday, planned the trip as quickly as I could, as cheap as I could without feeling deprived. Nearly booked a hotel new to me that was cheap.. but DH talked me out of it and yes I will be back at the beloved Hojo's.. my home while at DL.

I'm crazy, I'm happy, I'm going solo.. woo hoo!!!

You leave on Feb 4th? That should be a perfect time. Low crowds and not too many rides under refurb. We go on Feb 9th for three days. Let's all hope for no rain, no rain, no rain! Have a great trip

Actually rain might not be too bad.
My last solo trip (two years ago), it rained on one of the days.
It was a very low crowd day, walk on to Pirates, 5 minute wait for Indy.. I loved it!
I bought an umbrella at HoJo's for less than $5, and bought a rain slicker at the park. That helped a lot to use both. Body dry,hands cold...feet soppy wet but it was fun to slosh around the park. Hard to get something to eat INSIDE, everywhere was packed with guests waiting out the rain.




I have done two solo trips.. I disocver something new each time!
First solo trip I developed a taste for Fantasia ice cream.. yum! The next time we went it was gone.. boohoo.
Next trip I discovered having hot chocolate and sitting at the outdoor fireplace of the Grand.. it's our new must do family activity.
And having coffee sitting on the "porch".

I'm bouncing in anticipation of another great trip!

He's such a sweet guy.
We have a beautiful relationship, I am very thankful to have him in my life.
Each day we have together is precious to us.

He works hard at getting his degree, so that as a family we can have a better life. Not only does he have classes, student teaching, tutoring job after school, dialysis three nights a week, occasional shifts doing demos... he takes the time to help me around the house and do something sweet for me. Today he washed the dishes and made pancakes for breakfast while I was sleeping. AWWW.. Now that's love!
