He made reservations last Friday...we had a really enjoyable night out! Tonight we'll be home, though, so I can celebrate with my 4 yo as well. Plus, I like seeing him cook once in a while! LOL

Steak is an idea, hard to mess that up!

Oh, or chicken parm...he can make a great fried chicken cutlet...hmmm...

He's not a chef, just good husband...he can manage to feed himself if I'm not around.

I think chicken parm would work out perfectly. I hate having to fry all the chicken, so that will be really enjoyable for me! Chicken parm is one of dh's faves and ds loves chicken cutlets too...so they'll probably object less to that than if I tell them I'd love salmon for dinner!

I would never ask my dh to make anything except a trip to pick up takeout He's not exactly a gourmet cook.

Seriously, if your dh is comfortable in the kitchen I would just let him make whatever he's most comfortable with...it's probably what he's best at
