Hi all,
Today is the day we should finally be moving out of DH's parents' house and into our brand new shiny new build home! I am still at the in-law's place at the moment, DH left this morning to go to our old city and unlock the storage locker which has housed all our furniture since March. He's on his way back here now with the removals lorry behind him. He'll swing by to pick me up, along with any bits we need from here, then it's on to the new place (about 25 mins away) to get the keys!
Right now I'm packing up all our stuff from here, not too big a job as we didn't bring much in the first place, just some books, dvds, clothes and toiletries. We'll gradually move everything from here to the new house during the week and the loft is full of baby stuff for Bean which we've accumulated over the past few months, added my tens machine to the list this morning.
Very excited but nevous as I'm waiting for my solicitor to call and confirm everything has gone through legally, until then we can't do the key handover. Our mortgage has been in place for 2 weeks and we paid all our extras last week which they have confirmed receiving so hopefully there won't be any problems.
I'll take some photos today (of course!) and post them up when I can. It's a beautiful house on the edge of the village. The kitchen and nursery windows look out over fields to some woods and we know they won't be built on for at least 9 years due to contract. The village school is a 5 min walk away (probably more like 10-12 with an unwilling child in the mornings
) and there's a little shop next to it and 2 kids playgrounds within a few mins too. It's exactly what we wanted.
Xxx
