I just finished watching that movie on Netflix! So many of the scenes brought a smile to my face as I remembered seeing it in the theater back in the late 70s as a teen. What fun we had!!
When I was 14 so that would have been sometime back in the 70's ..cough, cough and my friends drug me (not literally) in the back of a pick up truck to Hollywood to see some movie called "Rocky Horror Picture Show". I had no idea what this was all about. Had never heard of it and most of all....my mom thought I was spending the night at my friends house so I was freaking out all night. Now I was a young catholic school girl so you should have seen my face when I saw all the characters in costume and then was dodging toast in the theatre. I'll never forget it. WILD!!!
We were paying for a purchase yesterday when my five year old started singing that, then said "mom, you've got that song stuck in my head!" The look on the sales clerk's face was priceless!
I first saw the play "The Rocky Horror Show" on a school trip to London in 1975....really opened up my Irish Catholic innocent (ha!) eyes. Quite a departure from my very sheltered life on Cape Cod.
