It's Here-Room Only Rate April 20-May 21, 2008

I know they wouldnt let me stack them. I hear others saying like you, they are saving money with this code and keeping the park hopper-water. I am not clear for sure, but it sounds like this is being acheived by giving you the room discount and adding the park option at reg price... meaning the room discount is giving you more of a savings. I think when they say yes you have the park/water option, I think they mean yes they added it on still, but not at the discount because the room discount is higher.

Not sure though if some are allowing stacking??? I tried 2 times and no deal.

Can you check you ressie online at WDW site and see what that says? :confused3

The pp who said they got both previously listed their savings and it was so minimal that it is definately the room discount applied and then they save more money than the ticket promo.

I just booked AKL myself, was in PoFQ for 8 nights, now AKL and it only cost 280 more!!! Also, the pofq was an AAA rate, so it was already a discounted room. So happy, AKL looks so amazing.

I was finally able to use CMB on pop for april 23-25th. The still only had preferred but I saved $30 off my ressies.

FYI.. you can also check on expedia and travelocity.. they have the current discount if available. I was checking every few hours and finally pop cam up as available. So I called in and had it applied to my reservation.

I've called twice to get the discount for POFQ, but no luck. The CM was very nice and told me to keep trying that sometimes things open up. I could switch to CBR with the code, but I really want to stay at POFQ.

I waited and kept trying to get a code for POFQ and could not even get the CAA discount there either. I made the switch to AKL today for only $106 more than POFQ.

I went from "room only" using AAA to AP to GP (CMB code). Each move saved us money. The CMB code rate at the WL is higher than the AP rate. But, it still made sense to use the GP rate because I won't need to buy the AP.

The only catch is that I won't be able to buy the DDE card with the GP rate because I won't be buying the AP. I'm only saving about $60 net going from AP to GP for a week-long stay. The DDE card costs $65 for AP holders and gets you 20% off dining. But, I think I'm still better off using the GP rate and saving the $60.

Any way you cut it, I'm saving hundreds of dollars by doing room only and buying the Park Hoppers through Undercover Tourists as compared to any of the Disney packages with any of the available package codes.
We, too, went from AAA to AP to CMB code, and I completely agree with everything you wrote. We weren't going to get the DDE as we do mostly counters, so no loss there. I'm the only one that needs a ticket, as I'd used an AP in the past when everything else got tickets from undercover (and they still have days left), so now I will go back to undercover and get my ticket. Was surprised that the GP rate was as good as the AP rate for the Poly, because last time we'd used it, the AP rate was a little more favorable. Of course, the AP rate was kinda' poor this time around for the Poly. gardenview (like 22% off) especially when I'd read folks writing that they were thrilled that the AP rate was like 40% off. I'm so happy with CMB!:wizard:

Alright!! When I booked AKL, WL was over $100 more total, so I stuck with AKL. I had never stayed at WL (had at AKL), but was trying to save money. Well, today WL was the same price that I paid for AKL so I changed my ressie!!! :cool1:  One more that I will have tried!! :woohoo:

I am a new AP and was wondering if AP rates come out for my date and resort will they apply it without me calling or do I have to call in.
I booked one night at CSR for June 8 with dinning ($352 for four adults.) They said it becomes a "package" so I put $200 as the deposit and the rest due 45 days out (April 24) I could have waited to book this but the CM said it really did not matter because if AP rates come out and they are available for my resort that I could have it applied to my reservation without a problem ...
What worries me is that at the very end of the conversation after I gave my payment information he said that if I changed the reservation after the 45 day mark and the cost went down I would be charged a fee. I guess what he is saying is that if ap rates do come out that I would not be "changing" my reservation I would just "apply" the new discount to an existing reservation ... correct ????
Thanks for any help ...
:lmao: :headache: :confused3
