It's Here-Room Only Rate April 20-May 21, 2008

The discount made mine go up by 4.00, I kept what I have. the free water park upgrade. Wonder if I should call again, this lady was kinda lame.

But I have a package, does this matter?

Instead of calling, you can go on line to Disneywebsite..At bottom there is a link..Follow and you can put in dates for "room only" or dates with packages.............I was just playing around with it last night..can't go during that time period..Didn't figure it on a calculator, but it appears room discount is probably 20-25%!

Hope it work for those that can travel during that time period! Good luck!:goodvibes

I did that too. I would lose the water park upgrade if I do it that way :(

The only way to get dining is to do the "Magic Your Way Package" one day base ticket minimum.

Hope it works out for everyone who needs it!:goodvibes

I think you are right about the dining thing. When I called about adding the code to my poly stay nothing was available. If I wanted to get a room only code, we could of stayed in a theme park view but could not add dining because that required a different code. She said dining is included on a package. She told me you could not add dining to a room only discount code. I hope she is right because we switched to the WL. My heart was set on the Poly. I have been on my computer every morning at 7 am for the past three weeks waiting on a discount. Guess what? Yesterday, the day the code was released, our internet service in my neighborhood was out. We did not get service until around 2 in the afternoon. I was so upset. Anyway, we are happy to have a discount. I guess Poly was not meant to be.

OP, Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!:goodvibes

I have been helping a co-worker and his wife plan their WDW vacation. With this new code they were able to book at BC, with basic dining plan, and saved $300!:)

Well the code didn't work for me :sad2: . I tried CMB and CMD. The CM said I would have had to book between now and april 19th. I already had ressie at ASMo since November and the hotel is totally full for my dates in may. So he said it wouldn't work. I would have saved $52, not the end of the world I suppose. There's still room at ASM and POP, but we want ASMo for my 5yr.

hammie, That is crazy!

Call back and speak to another CM. I have always booked my stays and then called back and applied a different code if it works better to my advantage!

No luck here either. Trying to help my cousin plan her May trip. With new code, she would have saved $124 (Pop Century) - but would lose the free park hopper/waterpark upgrade. She doesn't really care about the hopper option, but they are planning 1 day at one of the water parks - single day tickets are around $41 each (need 3), so they are really just breaking even (and losing the hopper upgrade). She tried to get both codes applied, but CM said this was NOT possible. Hope others have better luck!

What are your dates?
I'm not sure how hotel/disney bookings work but I know that disney only releases discounts for a certain numbers of rooms. So it doesn't mean that the hotel is full its just means theres no room left for that particular code. I would also keep calling back or checking on line. You never know when a room will open up.

May 3-6. We're doing a split stay. I just tried calling agian, and still no good. I think the CMs are cranky today, TGIF is guess! Anyhow, I had the last one really "investigating" and was told same thing. I think I detected some eye rolling thru the phone :rotfl: . But I'll keep checking like you suggested.

I got the FL resident rate on a room only reservation for 5/6 - 5/10 when it came out but this rate is $50 cheaper per night than what I received. I booked through a TA though so when I called Disney direct this morning to see if I could just apply this code to my existing reservation - - they would not tell me anything! So I called my TA to inquire about it and she did not know for sure. Can anyone tell me if Disney allows that? Seems like they should...Thanks.

Yes you should be able to use whichever code you choose as long as there are rooms available for the discount. BUT your TA owns your resevation so they will have to change the discount for you. Disney will not be able to change it for you. Good luck.

My TA called and they said there are no rooms available at my resort for that code. But my thing is I got a FL resident discount initially and now that same discount has been expanded and it should apply to my existing reservation regardless if there is a room available or not. Who cares if it is a different code? It is the same discount. I already have the room. It is just like if a cruise ship lowers the fare for a particular category - if you already have that category booked, you receive the lower price. I told my TA to keep calling back. But if this is the case and this is how Disney works - that is terrible customer service.

Booked 2 nights at AKL.... so now instead of staying in our timeshare all week, we will spend 5 nights there and 2 at AKL- works out great, as we decided to do the Pirate and Princess Party, and really wanted to be onsite for that!

Just booked Pop for 6 nights with dining and PH for 2 adults and 1 child for May 14-20 for $1915- probably not as great as the previous PH/water park upgrade, but I'll take it!!!

Its the same with airlines and hotels in general. They are selling rooms off cheap to to hit a target, they have limited rooms at this price because of this. They didn't lower an entire category of rooms prices. Any time you check into a hotel room there are probably 100 other rooms just like it and they don't charge every person the same price, exactly the same with seats on a plane, and Disney. It's actually true with cruises too.

If they sold out all of the resort/room you want though, you can keep trying back, they may have an opening if someone cancels.

I am SOOOOO thrilled! Was able to use the public room-only code CMB just now on our existing AP reservation. AND IT IS THE EXACT SAME RATE, SO NO NEED TO BUY THE AP (I can now buy my ticket from undercover, and everyone else already has tixs)

This is for the Poly gardenview for May 11-17th.:wizard:

I went from "room only" using AAA to AP to GP (CMB code). Each move saved us money. The CMB code rate at the WL is higher than the AP rate. But, it still made sense to use the GP rate because I won't need to buy the AP.

The only catch is that I won't be able to buy the DDE card with the GP rate because I won't be buying the AP. I'm only saving about $60 net going from AP to GP for a week-long stay. The DDE card costs $65 for AP holders and gets you 20% off dining. But, I think I'm still better off using the GP rate and saving the $60.

Any way you cut it, I'm saving hundreds of dollars by doing room only and buying the Park Hoppers through Undercover Tourists as compared to any of the Disney packages with any of the available package codes.

I just called and used the CMD room only code, and got two nights (5/6 and 5/7) at AKL, standard view, for $414 including tax. Normally it's over $600!!!! Thanks OP!!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I just called and requested the AXR package discount. I asked the CM if we were eligible for the code. She put me on hold and told me I just saved over $200! We're staying at the YC May 7-14. In addition, I called last week and asked about the park hopper/water park discount. That discount saved us over $200 again. Nothing was mentioned about losing the park hopper/water park discount. She just said I had saved the money. She wouldn't take away the park hopper discount without saying anything, would she? :confused3

I know they wouldnt let me stack them. I hear others saying like you, they are saving money with this code and keeping the park hopper-water. I am not clear for sure, but it sounds like this is being acheived by giving you the room discount and adding the park option at reg price... meaning the room discount is giving you more of a savings. I think when they say yes you have the park/water option, I think they mean yes they added it on still, but not at the discount because the room discount is higher.

Not sure though if some are allowing stacking??? I tried 2 times and no deal.

Can you check you ressie online at WDW site and see what that says? :confused3
