It's gymbuck time...

I'm a gymbo addict too, we should start a running Gymboree thread on here!

I wish I could help you out, but I used all mine yesterday, and like most people, could have even used a couple more. It seems to me extras are harder to come by this time around, maybe it's the crazy cuteness of the new lines, everybody's shopping! :confused3

and p.s. I think most people would be happy to share with a disser if they had an extra, I certainly do not see anything wrong with your asking!

If I had an extra, I would mail it to you immediately. I'm surprised that someONE would be so opposed to helping another out. Wow...."earn", huh?

Yes, you do "earn" Gymbucks. They sell for a good bit on ebay, CL or the Gymboree loops too. Why would anyone expect to get some for free when everyone else had to "earn" them? :confused3 That's like asking for free clothes.

I have one and I'll be using it. :yay: I earned it at the Gymboree outlet near Disney by spending over $50.

I agree! Different strokes I guess. I would never post asking for free clothes and that is basically what a post like this is. I would wait until someone posted they had some. I have seen people post they have them and/or codes and I have quickly replied when I could to get them. I would never ask for a gymbuck, but that's just me. I might ask if anyone had a discount code, but not a gymbuck. To me that's like asking for money, but I see here most disagree so it's probably just me.:confused3

I had $125 and only used $25 so I have $100 Gymbuck left. You're more than welcome to them if you want to PM me. I'm pretty new here so I don't think I can PM you.

That would be awesome if you want to send the code and pin number on it to me!
(unless you already gave it to someone else)

Again... geesh, some people are so mean spirited around here and some finger pointing going on. I am not sure why people even go to the trouble to post something negative in the first place.

So many points I would like to make.
Not everyone is going to go to the trouble of selling a gymbuck for 5.00 or whatever on ebay just because they have it.
Also, some people are not going to use them and they will just expire because they have no intention of buying anything else, regardless of whether they have a gymbuck or not.
Lastly, I don't see why asking for one that is not going to be used any different then posting and asking for a free shipping code or discount.

Now please, people who want to post just to say something snarky find something better to do instead of tsking away and trying to make someone (namely me) feel bad. The flamers should be ashamed of themselves.

Do you need all $100 of them? :confused3

I think there is just one code and pin per receipt, even if the amount is larger.

FWIW, I spent mine today too. I really need a couple more shirts and pair of shorts for DS and DD still needs more bottoms (they really only had tops left at prices I was willing to pay) so I'll have to check the rounders in a few weeks.

Oh, and for girls, that new purple and brown collection - too darn cute! Not on sale, and not worth it to me even at half off (I'm not shelling out my $25 Gymbucks for half off one dress and maybe a shirt) but they are adorable! I can only hope they are still available on markdown in a couple months (fingers crossed!).

Anyways, to all out there enjoying the sale, happy shopping - and may you find what you are looking for! :)

Maybe you're right about the multiple Gymbucks. I thought they were worth $25 each and they gave you one for each 25, but maybe not.

The brown and purple line is so cute! I got the little sleeveless top with the rhinestones and its so cute on. I love the giraffe shirt too and the skirt and the shorts....who am I kidding!? I want it all! :rotfl:

Wow! You really cropped alot of what I said and took everything out that would make what I posted a little nicer. Talk about "mean spirited". Please quote me totally next time you want to accuse me of something.

If you read my entire post I point out that this is entirely how I feel about doing things. I didn't stoop to name calling. I didn't call you "cheap" for doing this, but you chose to call me "mean spirited" and that I should be ashamed of myself. Sorry I didn't agree with you, but I think you are the "mean spirited" one.

Look, if someone wants to ask for Gymbucks (or free clothes or cash!) and someone is willing to give them up, then who cares?! No one is twisting anyone's arm, so if it's a mutual deal, I don't get what all the drama is about.
If a person wants to use their own Gymbucks or sell them on eBay or give them away, they're theirs to do that with. The OP just asked...if you think thats bold or nervery or whatever, that's fine, but she's not forcing anyone to give them up.

Everyone needs to get over it.

Oh......if anyone has any extra, I guess I can take them! Just kidding...we'll maybe not!

Can I just complain that girl's always get the cutest stuff? The new baby boy line is super cute, but there's only 1 new one, while the baby girls have 3! I'm annoyed. I want to use my gymbucks, but there's not a ton of stuff I want to get.

You can use multiple gymbucks. For instance I had two ($25 each). As long as I spent $100 I could use both.

The only drama I'm involved in is being misquoted. I was merely responding to another poster. If you read my post you can see that the OP totally cropped my post and made it sound much worse than it was originally posted. I could care less if she posted asking for a gymbuck. I was responding to Clarabell and quoted her. The OP edited my post, then quoted it and called me mean spirited and said I should be ashamed of myself. That is not right in my opinion and that is where the drama started IMO.

You are right, I did trim out some of your message - it was in the interest of saving space.
I can repost the whole thing if it makes you feel any better.
I think most people would say it was still not a nice thing to say. Clarabelle said it was like asking for free clothes and you said it was like asking for money - both of you said YOU would never do it. Well, since I did not ask you to do anything you don't have to worry about it.
And it is not drama - in my opinion it is just plain mean. Do you go by bell ringers at Christmas time and say "get a job" out of the corner of your mouth too? Please don't post to a thread just to say something mean about a poster you not only don't know, but don't know their circumstances either. Good for you both that you can go to Gymboree and spend at least 50.00 at a time to rightfully "earn" your gymbucks.
This is the last time I am going to post on this, I don't want this to become one of those hideous threads that is nothing but bickering.

I still am open to a gymbuck if one finds themselves in a situation, where (with no pressure) they are not going to use it and let it expire. Please pm me. Thanks!

Oh, please. Bell ringers selflessly VOLUNTEER or work for incredibly low wages to earn money for CHARITY not to put in their own pockets. Begging for free stuff (Gymbucks get you free clothes) for yourself is not remotely the same thing.

The responses to this thread are very tame and not at all personal attacks on you as you seem to think. If you had posted this request on any of the Gymboree groups online you would have been hung out to dry in seconds. :laundy:

(I actually am removing/editing this post as I cannot stoop to the level of people who want to post just to be mean. I have better things to do then that)

I have received alot of PM's regarding the Gymbucks so I'm not going to be able to reply to all of them but I have passed them along to someone here. Sorry

See, I refuse to use my Gymbucks on the new lines. If you just wait a few weeks, all the new stuff will be on sale! I use my Gymbucks to scoop up sale items!

Yeah, I always use the Gymbucks to grab up clearance items. But I very rarely buy from a new line. I almost always wait for it to go on sale.

Usually I also only buy sale items with my gymbucks. But I bought a little of boththis time! A lot of the time the thing I want will be out of the size I need. So this time I just got something I really wanted from a new line. :) Along with sale stuff. They had tights on sale for $1.19. I figure that after the gymbucks they were 60 cents! Good deal.
