Wow! wouldn't you have to spend $200 to redeem $100 in Gymbucks, thus really only spending $100 OOP? If that's case, then a person could 'afford' to spend $50 to earn the original $25 in Gymbucks. Then redeem their own gymbucks by spending another $50 and (which is really only $25 after using the gymbuckThat would be awesome if you want to send the code and pin number on it to me!
(unless you already gave it to someone else)
-WendyDo you need all $100 of them?![]()
). and you've still only spent $75 which is cheaper than the $100 you would need to spend to redeem 4 of someone else's gymbucks. While others may see things differently and we all are entitled to our own opinions, this is where IMHO the OP is getting FREE clothes at someone else's expense.Robin, I had no IDEA you were so mean!Oh! I do! And I kick strays and tell the other children in the Santa line that he isn't real so they'll start crying and my kids can get in his lap faster
And don't the Gymbucks have to stay attached to your reciept? Like they do with Kohl's cash? (On black friday I made the mistake of removing my reciept and you'd think I spent weeks counterfiting in my basement)
:
Around here, they don't attach your Kohl's cash to your receipt. They just hand it to you. They could care less about a receipt when you redeem it either. I don't know, maybe it's a regional thing?

That's fine, but it should be up to you to offer them up. People put posts out there all the time offering codes (that are 1 time only) and coupons up for grabs. But it should NOT be the SAME person(s) begging for Gymbucks EVERY TIME they come out.I still don't see what all the comotion is. I would never list gymbucks on Ebay or Craigs List as I don't involve myself in selling things. There have been many times when my kids really had enough and the gymbucks would just have gone to waste. Why not give them to someone who really could use them instead of letting them sit in the drawer unused?
BTW I bought mostly all new stuff with my gymbucks - too cute to resist!

The commotion gets stirred up quite a bit on this topic when someone repeatedly begs for free stuff claiming they are too poor to afford to earn their own Gymbucks when a simple search of previous posts reveals recent (and planned) vacations to the Poly Concierge with the DXDDP and private Photopass session. When those facts are pointed out, the poster gets hostile and resorts to name-calling on the thread and by PM.
There is nothing wrong with giving your Gymbucks away - you earned them. It is the begging for them (especially by people misrepresenting themselves) that stirs the crowd on the Budget Board. Each Gymbuck is worth $25 in store credit to Gymboree. I don't see threads with anyone begging for gift cards for that dollar amount to any other store. Try asking one of us CVSers for a $25 ECB or gift card for free.

It's Gymbuck time....AGAIN
BTW Clarabelle, I know you have some CVS GC's. I NEED some. Pleae don't be a hog, and share them with me. I've asked you nicely. Now cough it up!

I would like to try DVC. Could someone please give me their points this year? I really need to stay at DVC. I'm sure there's someone who owns DVC that has already been to WDW too many times and can give up their points. No one has a problem with giving away or offering up a Gymbuck. The problem comes in when someone ASKS for one without offering something in return.
How is pointing out what a poster has posted before a personal attack? She brought up her financial situation implying that she is poor and can't afford to spend the $50 it takes to EARN a Gymbuck and then likening herself to a charity with the bell ringer statement. If being poor affords me lavish annual vacations to a Disney Deluxe Resort and free clothes from Gymboree then sign me up!
The personal attacks are in the PMs the OP sent. It is against the DIS terms of service to quote PMs on a thread but I can assure you the name calling on the thread is nothing compared to her nasty PMs to me and I can only imagine others on this thread as well. No worries. I certainly won't be losing any sleep over it.![]()
Awww, thanks for being so nice and wanting to share with me. Here's a little something for you too. Thanks so much to the PPs who mentioned craigslist - it never would have occurred to me but that's an awesome idea and you can bet I'll be watching for any reasonably priced gymbucks there in future though I'm willing to share any extra finds with Calabelle and StitchLovesTink since you guys are local too...![]()

And when it comes to WDW there is NO SUCH THING as going too many times.
