Um....guys....I have some wonderful, awesome spectacular news!!!!!

Disney just saved me a bit of money!!!!!

I got the pin offer in my e-mail tonight for the merchandise credit!!

If you don't know what this is, you can buy a $500 Disney card for $395 or a $600 card for $445 or a $1000 card for $695.

I was planning on $1000 or so for spending (excluding adult drinks and tips and food or snacks after we are off the dining plan). So, that saves me $300!!! The best part...it never expires! So, if we don't use it all, I can save it!! I think I will manage to spend a nice chunk of it and then I can get more Christmas presents there than I originally planned!! WoooHooooo!!!! I am really excited about this! I had my eye on one of these babies ever since I saw the thread originally!!!! So, the rest of you...be on the lookout!!!!

So totally jealous!!!!! I've been keeping my fingers crossed too!! I could still get it, how many days out are you? I hope I still get one! I know there are exclusions on the card, I think I read that it could only be used in DISNEY store (so nothing in WS) and I thinking I remember reading that you could not use it on food or drinks (no worries we have free dining). Anyway I know that that $1000 is the best value, but I'm not sure that makes sense for us. LOL good things it's not an issue right now!!!

YAY, we're getting so close. I'm going to scope out the River Roost drink menu and decide what I want. I'm usually a beer girl, and if I get a drink, drink I always get a gin and tonic, but this is vacation so I think I need something special!!!

Now I'm 9 days....I have to buy it by Wednesday and it will be waiting at check-in. You should call and see if you have one??!! There are three different denominations that you can get. If you don't want the bigger one, you can get the $600 one or the $500 one. No food or drinks (other than pre-packaged), and DIsney owned stores. So, no World Showcase and several in DTD are not participating. But, we will manage to spend it, I'm sure. Plus, it doesn't expire.

I really never drink anything but beer or wine, but on vacation I am!!!!

I am sooooooOOOOOO excited!!! I think I am even more excited to meet my new friends!!! Although, I feel like we have known each other for years!! LOL

I did not do online check-in. I figure we land at 10 pm so there shouldn't be a ton of people checking in at the same time as us. Plus, I want to do whatever I can to get in bldg. 14 at POR and I thought doing all of my check-in when I get there may give me a better chance to get it out of them!! LOL

LOL I can see everyone getting busier and less frequent in their updates. Just so muct going on between the holiday and getting ready. It's all almost timed perfectly though, liike the holiday is a nice distraction and then after that...BAM!!! DISNEY TIME!!!!

I know!!! I can not believe how close it is getting!! It has all gone so fast! I still have so much to do...but am surprisingly not stressed! I was a few weeks ago, but now just want to get there (whether all of my stuff here is done or not!)

I was so thrilled with that pin!!! I am going to be able to save about $300. That is really exciting!

OK...so that trip related update I said I was going to do last night...well you get it here tonight!!! LOL Not too bad...only one day behind!

Alrighty folks....lists!!!!

We have all been talking about them. We all have them. We will all (hopefully) complete them.

I just want to share my to-do list an get some feedback. I am looking for suggestions for anything I may be missing. So, please help a girl out!!! I am splitting it in 3 sections: 1. Must be done before Disney, 2. Try to fit in before Disney, and 3. Can be done after Disney, but has to be done before Christmas. (Note: at this point, I am pretty much realizing that in order to get lists two and three done before Disney, I will not be able to sleep for the next week! LOL)

So, here they are:

Before Disney

1. Regular cleaning (daily and weekly things) - daily will be done daily until the big day obviously and weekly this week and the beginning of next week.

2. Finalize ebay listings.

3. Make autograph book (if this doesn't get done...I will deal...but I am still holding out hope).

4. Go over budget again (Disney and beyond).

5. Get any last items needed for trip.

6. Make index cards for each day - done tonight.

7. Make note to SIL for dogs and cat (she's house sitting) - done tonight.

8. Get kids vacation gifts and make letters - most gifts bought, letters printed.

9. Verify all ADR's - done.

10. E-mail Raglan Road again to confirm - done.

11. Decorate house for Christmas.

12. Start Christmas shopping (if I don't get to this, I'll live).

13. Shampoo rugs.

14. Get money from bank (in correct denominations).

15. Notify neighbor SIL will be there while we are gone.

16. Pack!!!!!! (started a tiny bit)

17. Mail invites for Christmas party after vacation.

18. Bake for Thanksgiving.

19. Thanksgiving (I only list this because it pretty much takes me away from everything for a whole day).

20. Dance competition (again, takes me away for a whole day on Saturday)

21. Reserve parking lot near airport.


Try to fit in

1. Clean out each kids' room to prep for Christmas gifts

2. Get tree (can't be brought in or decorated until after vacation...it is a tree that gets planted and can only be inside for 10 days...how green are we??!!)

3. Make Christmas gift tags (yes I do these homemade)

4. Make Christmas cards and write out (again...homemade...kill me!!)

5. Finish Christmas shopping

6. Wrap gifts (as I am typing all of these things off of my written list I am beginning to realize how dillusional I really am thinking I could ever POSSIBLY get all of this done in a week's time!!)

7. Mix cookies and store dough

8. Finish printing / making cd's to clean up computer

Between Disney and Christmas

1. Clean

2. Unpack

3. Party

4. Decorate tree / string popcorn and cranberries

5. Bake cookies

6. Shop for Christmas day food (I do brunch here with my dad and dinner here for my mom and grandparents and aunt)

7. Finish Christmas whatever

8. Send cards

9. Make Christmas food

10. BREATHE!!!!!!

11. Both boys have wrestling matches several days

12. Nephews 1st birthday

So, it's a lot...but I still feel like I am missing something??!!! Can you guys please weigh in??!!
