I got married on 6-13
and had my youngest DD on 11-13

just so someday they would fall on Friday the 13ths

I am mildly uncomfortable because bad things happen to dh's side of the family on this day. The whole Puerto Rican Thing on this day freaks me out a bit. Dh just laughs it off though. Says it's for old wives and superstitous people. Well dear I am an old wife and mildly superstitous.

My favorite Friday the 13th was a few years ago -- it was October, Friday 13, and I had taken my kids to Knotts Scary Farm. I remember riding the wooden roller coaster there called Ghostrider. It was our first time on that ride, and there was a huge full harvest moon. It was really a beautiful night, and I was thinking "Life is Good."

Okay...it sure is Friday the 13th...I just had my work hours reduced significantly! GRRRR! That makes the 11th change to my work load since the fall semester began...and we just hit the midterm. I'm seriously considering a career change or at least going back to school to have something available.

Oh, well...getting a DIS fix helps!
