We woke up late this morning to no snow. By the time I had finished my shower, it was snowing. Snow doesn't freak me out, but it seems to cause mass panic here in the South. I was laughing my butt off when there were masses of people that were using their flashers driving down roads that were just wet, not frozen, just wet. :rolleyes1 This was my normal grocery shopping day. OMG, the store was more packed than I have ever seen. I was able to get a couple of bags of rock salt for the drive way, just in case. Corey has to travel to lower Alabama tomorrow, so we are taking the freezing temps seriously because icy roads are a big possiblity as the temps start to fall more throughout the night.

For now, it's officially freezing outside. It's snowing. There is ice on the branches of the trees and the pine trees limbs are heavy with snow and ice. There is ice developing on our powerlines.

Thank God for hot coffee and a Saturday inside with my honey.

Pretty dang cold here too BUT at least we've had normal precipitation so far this winter. Hopefully -- that means no fires next summer.:goodvibes

You said it - we just got home and the temperatures here in TN must have dropped twenty degrees in the last four hours :scared1:

It's going down into the teens tonight.

Wish it was snow ...:sad1:

Mild temps down here, but darn we just had a doozy of a storm come through! Very odd for this time of year. Hope BarleyJack got inside in time!pirate:

I am happy to report that Corey will not be driving tomorrow. The wind chill is supposed to be in the single digits in the morning and the roads and our driveway are still wet and the temp is down below freezing now. Most of our snow melted. It was pretty while it lasted, but the temp was so warm yesterday, I was pretty surprised that we had the accumulation that we initially had anyway.

At least I know that Corey will be travelling on safer roads on Monday and I get to enjoy her company for an extra day this week!

OK, yes it's cold here too!

That front that brought us the storms last night brought us some darn cold weather today!

Hope all of our visitors brought sweat shirts!

You can always come up here to the northeast and enjoy our lovely single digit temps today:rotfl2: Actually I think the southerners are worse off because y'all don't have the clothes for it (nor are you used to cold). So it is currently 6 degrees and we are about to have four tween girls come over for a tropical themed birthday party:rotfl: Everyone else cuddle up with some hot cocoa--okay?
