I just got back from a wonderful trip at WDW. I wanted to share what I thought was a magical moment the other day. We got in very late wednesday night at the Beach Club Villas so we didn't get out and about until after 9am the next morning. When we got out of the ground floor elevator into the solarium area I was literally frozen in my tracks. There I saw a huge beautiful Christmas tree with garland adornments all around the balcony rails. The more I looked around the more decorations I saw. Disney had decorated the Villas and the rest of the Beach & Yacht Club Resort overnight(they must have started after midnight since we got in around that time). Since this was our last day my family and I felt so thrilled to have been able to witness this unexpected transformation. We spent the greater part of that morning just walking around and taking pictures in and around the various decorated areas. The next day,our check-out day, saw even more decorations in the guests services and gift shop areas. I'm sure by now all of the resorts must have some sort of conversion in place.

Very exciting....I'm headed for my Christmas trip in just 40days...can't wait to see those beautiful decorations...

We have a local radio station that is already playing Christmas music 24 hrs a day. Some folks argue that it is too soon. I argue that it is never too early for the Christmas spirit. Not the we have to go shopping, fight the crowds, everythings hectic kind of spirit. Im talking about the spirit of the celebration of baby Jesus birth. We should keep that alive all year long. So I think its cool that WDW starts its celebration so early. I know that it takes them some time to get everything up and thats another reason to start so early. Glad to hear that the decorations made your trip special!!

Isn't this exciting? We're hoping to go 12/8 - 12/14. It's possible our trip may have to be cancelled due to work constraints, but I'm keeping hope.

Jimmytammy - Hi there! We live near Winston-Salem and I know just the station you're speaking of. 104.7. I'm already listening to it and I'm contemplating starting my "Christmas celebrating" early. Why not, it seems like Disney has. I didn't know the decorations went up so early. We've been twice during the x-mas season and it is breathtaking.

Ya'll send me some pixie dust that we'll get to go.
We just went in May, but I would really love to go during the holidays this year.
