Sunday 21 December

This was our first time staying at a hotel where breakfast wasn’t included, so it seemed strange to us not to be getting up very early for breakfast. Instead we were up and out waiting for the shuttle bus just after half 7. Britchic came over and introduced herself and the family, which was lovely.

We were at the Park just before 8 and were soon going on Buzz for the first time this visit. And then the second time. Dtr won on both occasions. She went on Space Mountain before we went into Fantasyland to go on Peter Pan and Pinocchio.

We decided to go to Salon Mickey and partake of a pastry and drink for our breakfast. This was busier than I have ever seen it (hi Britchic family:wave:)

When we left here at 9.45 ish the Park had been fully opened. This was the day they were expecting to be the busiest, so they seemed to have done away with rope drop.

We went to POTC and were able to walk on then we went to the outskirts of Adventureland for Dtr to ride Indiana Jones. We went into Frontierland which was very busy - our queue for Phantom Manor was longer than I have ever been in - round the extra covered queuing bit which I have never seen used before. It moved really quickly though and we were on the ride before we knew it. There was just time for us to go and have a ride on Casey Jr before leaving the Park and going to the Steakhouse.

It was before noon and despite the crowds, we had already ridden Buzz (twice) SM, PP, Pinocchio, POTC, IJ, PM and Casey JR - so we were satisfied that we had done a lot if the rest of the day proved too busy to get on anything. The only problem we had was that it was a lot milder than we had anticipated - I hardly wore my Christmas hat as my head was getting too hot. I only had my coat on over my t-shirt, but even so when we went in shops I had to slip my arms out of the coat to cool down. Not what more recent visitors have experienced and certainly not what it was like the same time the previous year!

At the Steakhouse who should we see - Hi Britchic family:wave:. Hi Mummyal:wave:.

After lunch we caught the shuttle back to the Holiday Inn for a rest. We knew the Park was going to be very very busy so we didn’t mind a couple of hours downtime. Dtr insists she didn’t go to sleep, but I know that I had to wake her up from her ‘not asleep’! We caught the shuttle back to the Park, saying hi to the Britchics who getting off the bus:wave:.

We decided to go into the Studios as we thought it may be less busy. There were still plenty of people around though. We got Fps for RnRC then Dtr went into Disney Art of Animation to learn how to draw Donald. :artist: Then we picked up Fps for Flying Carpets before going to watch Stitch Live. Almost as soon as the show started about 15 people got up and left - it turns out they thought it was French presentation. This left me almost alone on my bench - you can guess what happened next. Stitch picked on me - those of you who have seen the show knows exactly how it goes - for others, I’ll just say that he sang a song to me, declaring me the most beautiful girl in the galaxy! Stitch needs glasses!

Outside there was a DJ dance party going on with a very enthusiastic Santa-clad woman leading the audience and Chip and Dale in dancing. It was time for our Flying Carpets Fastpasses and we were able to walk on with these, then we decided to go to see/do Armageddon. I don’t rate it very highly, but I read that it would finish soon so wanted to see it one more time. After this we used out RnRC fast passes so Dtr could ride and then she went on TOT - the wait wasn’t too long here.

The place could still do with a bit of redecorating though :)

We decided this was the time to brave the queue for Crush - it was showing 70 minutes. It was exactly 70 minutes later that Dtr got on the ride. She thought the wait was worth it, anyway. The Studios was closing now so we bought a cheeseburger each in Restaurant en Coulisse which we ate on the way to the Park.

This delayed us a bit so when we got to the Park there was time for just one ride - had to be BTM in the dark for Dtr. Then we browsed through the Christmas shop again and the shops down Main Street, before exiting below the station, where Mickey and Minnie, Chip and Dale, Daisy and Donald were waving us all goodbye.

We then caught the shuttle back to the Hotel and watched a bit of MOTD2. How sad am I? :rotfl2:

I really enjoy your trip reports! You had so many characters at the Mickey dinner! :)

You may be sad and i may be thick but what's MOTD2 please :confused3

:rotfl2: Sorry - it's a very boring UK TV program that shows football highlights. Match of the Day 2

Oh i see :rotfl2: we have something like that in Italy and it's called *90th minute*.
When i was little and we had just one black and white television (it sounds Jurassic to our kids lol) this program was my nightmere, mind you me and football have never been good friends LOL

Another great day, amazed you managed to go on so many rides when it was so busy :thumbsup2

Love the pic of your DD doing her :scared1: look at TOT :rotfl:

It's funny reading that....we really did see each other everywhere didn't we?!
Loving your pics......and confessing I'm unlikely to be getting round to a trip report this time.

Another fab day with great photos:)
