We'll be back at Universal next week, enjoying eight days at the Royal Pacific Resort. pixiedust:

I know there's a new King Kong ride, but beyond that, I'm very much out of the loop.

Advice? Tips? Tricks? Is there anything we should know, before we get there?

Yes, as you've noted Kong is new.

Also, Twister and Disaster have since closed down at USO to be replaced by Jimmy Fallon and Fast & Furious rides coming in 2017 and 2018.

Hulk has been rebuilt with a new, more immersive queue and new train cars that ride smoother (or so I've heard).

The Chocolate Emporium has opened in place of the NBA themed restaurant. A couple of New Hotels and an On Site Water park is being built.

How are the lines for Kong? Does it have an Express line, or is it like Gringotts where you have to show up for the early park entrance?

The newest onsite hotel is right next to RPR, Sapphire Falls. You can pool hop over there and tour the lobby and restaurants.

The Raptor Encounter is a meet and greet in Jurassic Park. That was fun.

Cowfish is a new restaurant in CW. Sushi and hamburgers...good together.

Yes the Raptor Encounter is pretty cool

Sapphire Falls has a new rum bar I did not get a chance to try it hopefully next time.

Cowfish is a must do for me as is Chocolate Emporium.

Cool! I didn't know about the Raptor Encounter!

About five years ago, I think, we got to meet a different kind of dino in Jurassic Park. It was a path into the trees, sort of tucked a bit out of the way, and the dinosaur was in a pen. I think it may have been a triceratops?

Yeah - that is the same general area where this the raptor is now - I assume this replaced that..

Read UO in all the sections of the parks and compare what you have done in past trips to what is listed now

That should help you find what will be new to you since your last visit there
