It's been one year today...

Stephanie -
I've been to your site as well in the past, it is a wonderful tribute that brought me to tears more than one time. Please know you're in our thoughts today, too. :grouphug:

:grouphug: to you today. This must be so hard for your family, and trust that your Angels are with you today, as they must be every day. I also have visited your website for the first time this week, and have been thinking of your boys whenever I see your posts. It is funny how we get to "know" each other here. You have opened you heart to others, and touched them in a positive way. You will never know the impact that you have had on others with your site, because each person who visits can learn so much.

Just wanted to add in a big ole :grouphug: The first anniversary is really hard, but none of them are easy. Believe me I know I am coming up on the 3rd this July. I was glad to hear that you and your family did something together to remember him, and that you kept yourself busy. That's also not as easy as it sounds sometimes. If you ever wanna talk just let me know.

Take Care,
Dana

...since my son Ryan passed away. We kept really busy today so we wouldn't sit around the house and mope. We had a nice picnic at the cemetary, then took the kids down to the beach and had lunch at the end of the pier. We miss both of the boys so much, I can't believe it's been a year since Ry left us. Though the hurt has lessened, it still still seems like it was only yesterday that I was rocking him in his favorite chair, singing to him - in my horrible singing voice, lol - to sleep. You can read all about Ryan if you click on the link in my siggy. Someday we plan on doing a nice informative website about Trisomy 14, but for now we just have this. DIS friends, please hug your children and tell them you love them everyday, never take them for granted. You NEVER know which path your lives can suddenly take.
:grouphug: I'm so very sorry

Dana hit it right on the nose. My ds Michaels' 3rd anniversary will be in August. I can't bring myself to read your website. Although things get better it sometimes feels like a wound that oozes, weeps, and gapes. We try to hide from others, but it's always there.....I can talk about Michael but it's when I "feel" him that it's hardest. Tonight I will make sure to say prayers for all of the mommies who have lost a piece of their heart.
