It's been one year today...

...since my son Ryan passed away. We kept really busy today so we wouldn't sit around the house and mope. We had a nice picnic at the cemetary, then took the kids down to the beach and had lunch at the end of the pier. We miss both of the boys so much, I can't believe it's been a year since Ry left us. Though the hurt has lessened, it still still seems like it was only yesterday that I was rocking him in his favorite chair, singing to him - in my horrible singing voice, lol - to sleep. DIS friends, please hug your children and tell them you love them everyday, never take them for granted. You NEVER know which path your lives can suddenly take.

It must be so hard. I remember the first time I read Ryan's website and cried, just imagining the grief. He seemed like such a wonderful little guy to have had in your lives, even though it was for such a short time.
