It's been a rough weekend! ***UPDATED PG 4***

Another update! I spoke to the adjuster this morning, and he still hasn't gotten the value of our camper yet. I explained to him that we leave in 23 days, and I'd like to at least know if we're still going to be able to go on vacation. He said that he worked on our claim last night, and he was up to $15,000 in damages, and he wasn't even done yet. He said that he would feel safe moving forward with the new one, and our damages are close enough to total it. He still won't give me the final "yes, it's totaled", but he is giving me the "close enough - move forward". DH is comfortable enough with that to pick up the new one on Saturday. I'm still a little hesitant, but I'm probably being extra-cautious. So.....As of right now, I think we're picking up our new camper on Saturday. I don't know whether to be scared or excited!

That's great to hear, one less thing for you to stress about now. I'm sorry about the loss of your camper and daughters car but since no one was hurt that's all that matters.

It's a Springdale Fifth Wheel. We've always had travel trailers, so this will be different for us. I think I liked it so much because it reminds me of our old camper's layout and colors. I'll post pictures after we pick it up. I'll probably be hugging it in most of the photos!

Cool. You are going to love your 5th wheel. So much easier to tow and DH says it is much easier to set up than our TT was.

What a difference a week makes! We towed our camper home yesterday, and I'm finding every reason possible to be in it!

I was in an accident last month and my van was totalled. We leave for disney in 10 days and the insurance company is giving me heck. Luckily I have the money to purchase a new one while I wait for them to give me a fair price. They told me they don't go by NADA or Blue Book because those prices include the profit the dealer makes. I told them that I bought it from a dealer and will have to buy a new one from a dealer, so they should give me NADA or blue book. Blue Book is 5,500 and they want to offer me 4,200. I bought my new van Thursday night and pick it up tomorrow. It is smaller, but I was pressed for time and did not have the 3 months it took me to find my last one. I totally understand your stress. I had to turn the rental in, so am borrowing my friend's extra vehicle til mine is ready.

So glad yours is taken care of. Your new one is really nice. Have fun on your trip.
