park hopping goddess, I totally know what you’re feeling. When my wife and I got our “potential winner” email from Ventura, we didn’t think it was real and it certainly didn’t feel real. I think a lot of people entered the sweepstakes but might have disregarded the email because we’re all so jaded by spam and scams, but if you took a closer look at the email there’s no question it’s legitimately from the sweepstakes. I’m happy that park hopping goddess responded and got her info back in time. You should next receive an email with instructions to complete, notarize, and return an affidavit re your qualification to claim the prize, and then you’ll get a final congratulations email from Ventura before they send your file over to Disney Parks. That winning feeling didn’t really settle in for us until we got that final congratulations!

AquaDame, I know that anxiety! It doesn’t end even when Disney contacts you. You’ve got 2-3 weeks to talk over your trip before the email comes from Disney, and by then you’ve got a really good idea about who you want to take, and what dates and resorts you want. But then Disney gives you a questionnaire to fill out and can’t guarantee your preferences (only that they’ll do their best to accommodate your choice of dates and resorts). We submitted our questionnaire last Tuesday, and we’re now waiting for Disney to confirm our itinerary. We really want to just get everything settled!

I revealed to my kids this weekend during our "Disney Dining Club" dinner with friends. They were all in on it. We did it by playing Headbandz. I wore a pic of the castle and the revealing question was, "are we going to WDW and staying in the castle because mom won a contest?!" They were silent for a few seconds then my oldest started screaming and fell on the floor.

She's totally my child. When asked what their must dos are, she said, "food and wine festival!"

Now to wait for the Disney email....

I agree that it is super fun to read what each of you are going through now that you get Betty's email. I'm obsessing over a vacation I don't have planned/scheduled so I can imagine the lack of sleep and anxiety to know when and where.

I missed the first day of the Perfect Fit contest, but have entered myself and DH every day since. I'm probably jinxing myself, but I haven't had any problems getting entered in that one so far.

I haven't had any troubles with Perfect Fit either! I missed the first 2 days but have entered us every day since too. I'm assuming the easy entries are either because not as many people are entering or they fixed some issues from Flipside. I'm hoping it's the former and that with such a long entry period most people will forget to keep entering. It could just be me and what I happen to see when I get online but it seems like Perfect Fit isn't advertised as heavily as Flipside. I've only seen it mentioned on a few dedicated sweepstakes sites. I'm totally okay with that if that's the case.

Does anyone have an issue with the WW one? If I try to enter half the time I get a red bar where I entered the word and I am asked to correct it. Just now I tried to enter yesterday's dining and no go.

Did you try it with a capital D? I'm not sure if it makes a difference or not but I've been entering all words with the first letter capitalized. I haven't had any troubles so far.

This is real! I totally get that it doesn't feel real yet. Just be sure to mind the deadlines and have a lot of patience! It took a few days for us to get the final congratulations after we submitted the affidavit, and another 2½ weeks after that for Disney to email us to begin setting up our trip. It's been about a week since we submitted our questionnaire to Disney, and we're just waiting for them to contact us back about our dates and hotel.

The questionnaire that Disney sends to start planning the Flipside prize vacation states that they require a minimum of 90 days to make the necessary arrangements.

I was hoping she'd announce the winner on her show, but she didn't Going to go read the official rules in a bit and see if it states how the winners are being contacted. Probably just email but it would be cool to hear the winners on her show!

I entered this contest last year and started following her on FB and DVR'ing some of her shows. She never announced the winners publically. You'll actually find a lot of comments saying her contests are fake and nobody wins (which I don't believe) because they don't make a big to-do when they announce winners. At least, last year there werem't any announcements that I ever saw.

I'd take any of the 4 trips but if I could pick any I'd pick 4,2,3 and then 1. You don't actually get the different awards but you get gift cards for the amount of that part of the award. So you wouldn't get a BBB experience but you'd get $200 (or whatever the cost is) in gift cards to use for a BBB makeover. If the prize includes a character meal you'll get a gift card worth the value of a character meal for four. So I'd choose the prize that gave me the most $$$ in gift cards to spend how I want and I think that's 4,2,3 and then 1.

This thread is an exciting read! I entered almost everyday for the Flip Side contest but alas, no email from Betty Congrats to the winners though, I can only imagine how exciting that would be. I won tickets to Disney on Ice the other day and my husband was like "really?"...turns out he thought I said I had won a Disney trip...I told him I would be screaming if I won a Disney trip! LOL Disney on Ice was nice though
I've entered everyday for the Wendy Williams contest too...dreaming of Disney right now. No trips planned for this year and our trip for next year is very tentative since we are considering a move soon which would make a Disney trip anytime in the next year not very likely

Good to know about the gift card thing - you know, for when I win lol. I was thinking she showed last years' winners on her show this year, when she was "introducing" the details of each weeks' trip. She shows a family and how they enjoyed the trip she's giving away that week......like this past Monday, she showed a mom and her 2 kids and the mom went to Senses spa. That's part of the trip she's giving away this week so figured they were last years winners?? But I guess it could be fake. I don't see why she'd do that, though, so like you I'm going to believe her contest is for real
