Then again it was nothing out of the ordinary Disney picture with Pooh. I just though maybe since we are pooh size. LOL

New on the DIS Boards but have been following this thread...I received an email last Wednesday saying I have been selected a "potential winner" for the Flip Side contest and responded that evening. My email definitely sent and I have checked my spam multiple times. The deadline was Friday at 5, but I still have not heard back from Betty yet! I am hoping since it's President's Day maybe she is on vacation or out of her office for the time being. The wait is killer!!

Wow! I think it takes a few days before you get the next email from Betty. Especially with the weekend, weather and holiday. Congratulations!!! What day did it say you won for? I selfishly keep hoping for lots of redraws, but expect it's pretty much over by now.

I haven't been able to sleep or sit still for about 5 days now!! It basically said my entry has been selected as a potential winner and to follow the instructions to confirm my personal information. Now just waiting....I did try to call Betty on Friday to confirm my email was received but just got voicemail. Hopefully that just means she's out of the office for an extended period!

The date in the subject line was January 18th. I am assuming this means I was an alternate like others have mentioned in previous posts. *Also I saw that someone received a potential winner email on the same day as me for the 21st and got their info already. They must have responded while Betty was still at the office!

I can imagine you are having a hard time sleeping as you wait to know you are officially a winner. So cool on the redraw.
I'm confused as to why someone would enter and then not be obsessively watching to see if they won.
Oh well just makes it all more interesting. I guess actually it might be with the paper work that they don't pass. Maybe it's people that think it's really FREE but when the tax information is presented they can't afford or something.

On the email thread I had with her she had a line in red in her signature saying she would be out of the office with limited access to email on the 12th & 13th! I so hope she sees it first thing tomorrow!!!

I'm still waiting patiently to be contacted by Disney... I know I likely have another week or two before I should really worry but still am anxious every day!

My dh last e-mailed w/Betty on Wednesday, also. She told him that she would be out of the office on Thursday and Friday. He then faxed her today and she responded that their office was closed today, also but that she had received all our paperwork and would be reviewing it by tomorrow evening. Congratulations on your Win!! I can't wait to hear about your plans!

I haven't done the Wendy Williams contest, but hope to see winners from our group! I missed the first day of the Perfect Fit contest, but have entered myself and DH every day since. I'm probably jinxing myself, but I haven't had any problems getting entered in that one so far.

No kidding!! Maybe they just enter a few times and then figure they will never win. Or life intervenes. I feel like it's easy to forget a contest/drawing that isn't completed for weeks or months after you enter, but with names being drawn in the January contest within days of entering, seems more unlikely. Never thought about the paperwork aspect. Tax aspect could definitely impact people, I think most don't consider that when entering contests. Oh well, happy times for those that win when they draw a 2nd or 3rd time for a particular day!

park hopping goddess, I totally know what you’re feeling. When my wife and I got our “potential winner” email from Ventura, we didn’t think it was real and it certainly didn’t feel real. I think a lot of people entered the sweepstakes but might have disregarded the email because we’re all so jaded by spam and scams, but if you took a closer look at the email there’s no question it’s legitimately from the sweepstakes. I’m happy that park hopping goddess responded and got her info back in time. You should next receive an email with instructions to complete, notarize, and return an affidavit re your qualification to claim the prize, and then you’ll get a final congratulations email from Ventura before they send your file over to Disney Parks. That winning feeling didn’t really settle in for us until we got that final congratulations!

AquaDame, I know that anxiety! It doesn’t end even when Disney contacts you. You’ve got 2-3 weeks to talk over your trip before the email comes from Disney, and by then you’ve got a really good idea about who you want to take, and what dates and resorts you want. But then Disney gives you a questionnaire to fill out and can’t guarantee your preferences (only that they’ll do their best to accommodate your choice of dates and resorts). We submitted our questionnaire last Tuesday, and we’re now waiting for Disney to confirm our itinerary. We really want to just get everything settled!
