It's Back-January Trip-A-Day Contest!

oh I agree it is so fun to follow along. hope they post lots of pics. I would love to see the view from the castle

Congrats to all the winners!!! Just some advice from our past trips. Summer is brutal with the heat!! That said most of our trips have been in June but after this past one I said no more summers ;) And you need to watch which week in spring because lots of schools have spring break and Easter week is crazy busy as well as Mardi Gras time. I would definitely look into the fall time if you can...tell your wife about The Food and Wine Fest that is an amazing time to go that runs Sept 25 through Nov 16...if you hit Sept/Oct you can go to the Halloween after party at MK or starting Nov 7th they start the Christmas after parties at MK plus the Christmas decor should be out also. Personally I'd definitely choose Food and Wine Fest time :)

Thank you, Disneyglobegirl! I’m thinking possibly November or December for the holidays. We love the holiday season at Disneyland Resort and visited during that time the past four years, so maybe we’ll spend this year at WDW. Thank you for letting me know about the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. I’m vaguely aware of this event, but didn’t know the dates. My wife would love this!

Do you have kids (school wise)... this is a tough one...

We have a toddler, so planning around school isn’t an issue. We just wish she were a little older to enjoy this trip and form some memories from it, but hopefully going later in the year means she’ll have a little more time to grow up before then.

Hi winners, I started a sweepstakes winners FB page... please Message me privately if you would like to join :)

Thanks, DisneyDreamer421. I’m just not on Facebook much… and I guess I don't have enough posts to send PMs?

either way... it is great! Ive been there during the holiday season... it is BEAUTIFUL! (careful on the dates, it does get very crowded and parks tend to close early)

If you are looking at going for Food and Wine festival, look into staying at Boardwalk, Beach Club or Yacht Club. You can walk to Epcot from the resorts. You enter through the back entrance of Epcot in between France and UK. Also Yacht and Beach share a sand bottom pool. These resorts are a short walk to Hollywood Studios as well. With DVC our home resort in Bay Lake Tower, but we have been staying at Boardwalk and Yacht Club recently.

Just my advice for WDW

We are still waiting to be contacted and I share your anxiety. Perhaps Ventura is going to make just one hand off of winners to the Disney Parks folks?

We are currently counting down to our first Disney cruise on the Fantasy in 94 days!!! It is a supersize Disney year for us!!!

We haven't been contacted yet either. But Betty's last congratulations email said "someone from the Disney Parks will be contacting you in the next few weeks to set up your trip." I guess she really meant it when she said next few weeks. The wait is brutal!! I keep going back to re-read the emails and make sure I REALLY won. Glad to hear I'm not the only one.

Please check your PM... I re read my emails all the time!

Is it possible they will be contacting all 31 winners at the same time? That way they can co-oridate castle dates so that the 31st winner doesn't get stuck with last choice dates?

Congratulations to all our winners! If I can't win myself, which I never seem to (drat!), it's nice to know that some of the "home team" are going to enjoy the opportunity and, of course, share all the details with us so we can live vicariously through you ;)

Thanks for this. Honestly, we didn't even consider staying at an Epcot-area resort. Right now, we're debating between GF and AKL. We'll take a look!

I also want to thank mmjones1021 and wendow for sharing their past experiences! This really gives us winners this year some idea of the process and adventure ahead!

I think you said that you had a toddler. I have two small children as well. Magic Kingdom resort area is great, but you will definitely get your MK time in with the stay in the castle. We find that staying at Boardwalk, Yacht or beach Club is great. You are close to all the dining at Epcot. Plus, great resort dining. By the way, yacht and BC share the sand bottom pool. They scan your magic band to get into the pool area (super strict about resort only guests) Getting to MK from these resorts is either a 10 minute bus ride or if you park hop and are in Epcot take the monorail. You have to transfer at ticketing to get on the monorail to MK.

What ever you decide, it's a dream vacation. My family is super fortunate to go to WDW yearly and stay at deluxe resorts. But I am dreaming of the castle stay. My princess loving daughters would be so excited. Still hoping for pixie dust to come my way.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I just won $500 from a local radio station this am.......hadn't even gotten out of bed yet LOL:cheer2:

So today is my lucky day; am home for the second snow day in a row and hoping to hear from Betty!:cool1:

That's awesome!!!! Congrats!!!!

Thanks. I don't think Matty is in the studio today......some other guy took the call and told me he has been at the station for the past 30 hours. Poor guy. He was surprised when I told him that I wouldn't be able to get to the station to fill out the paperwork until February vacation (live 1.5 hours away); he said most folks go in the day they win LOL

Way off topic, but I met Matt Segal at the Palace in Saugus back in 1988 - any of the MA folks remember that place? My friends and I used to go there a lot even though we live so far away.;)

I must be todays winner, they took away my enter button since Betty is planning to contact me...:cool1::rotfl2:

Nice!! Happy dance time!! :cool1:

I think that's $500 you can put aside to splurge at WDW spend when you win your vacation!

I am guessing that there are still at least 6 winners left to be contacted...I'm hoping they haven't contacted Monday's winner yet because Monday was spent contacting the weekend's winners and then because of the concerns about the blizzard I bet the office was closed Tuesday :scratchin

Yes...good thinking! As you can tell I'm trying as hard as I can here to stretch out the number of chances I still have of winning. If my hopeful theory is correct today they would contact Monday's (26th) winner and then still need to contact the 27-31st winners.

I'm hoping my DH wins today as it's his birthday!!! What a present that will be for him!
