It's Back-January Trip-A-Day Contest!

Just a quick tip from a previous winner... the email stating that you've won will come from a company called Ventura Associates (they're listed in the rules) - it will not come from Disney! It may go in your spam folder, so check there often. You only have a limited amount of time to reply and claim your prize! My husband almost deleted the email last year because he thought it was junk! Luckily I screamed at him to stop and convinced him that it was real!
Good luck!!

Oy! Hopefully I didn't win yet because I clean out my spam pretty regularly and have no clue if I deleted something from them!

Today is the first day the Enter button is missing for me. I've refreshed a bunch, but it doesn't work. Boo.

I was just going to post "WHERE IS THE ENTER BUTTON?"

How come I don't see it. I entered yesterday without any problems

Hey wonder if anyone was ever lucky enough to win on two days?
I'm sure in the rules there is some disqualification of that. I guess I will explore the rules again. I am so bad with remembering all that lengthy stuff.
reread time.

Well I found that answer
Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): US$7,181.40, which will vary
depending upon point of departure and seasonal fluctuation of hotel rates
and airfares. Total ARV of all Prizes: $222,623.40. Limit of one (1) Prize
per person/Address for the duration of the Sweepstakes.

So no double lucky winners.
Well unless a winner gets pulled from another days nonwinning entry from what I understand. Guess this never wins winner was double dreaming a two trip win. LOL

Too bad they don't post daily winners. But then I guess that might ruin their luck of someone missing their prize and saving them money.
Patiently watching email and phone.

I am reminded of that part of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where the world is holding its collective breath, waiting to see who will win the Golden Tickets.

If someone "misses" their prize, Disney chooses another winner for that day.

There is a lot more, but this is from the rules on the Disney site:

At the sole discretion of the Sponsor, disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate Winner may result from any of the following: [a] potential Winner’s failure to respond to notification within two (2) business days after transmission; the returnof an email notification as undeliverable after three (3) attempts;

Wish there was a like button! Love it!

For fun, where would you stay if you won? I have always wanted to stay at he Beach Club, Poly or animal Kingdom Lodge, maybe Contemporary.

I need this distraction!!! The news keeps reporting how cold it is and I'm fully aware. Even inside I can't seem to warm up.
I had been thinking about Boardwalk area so that i can walk from Epcot but since it's designed similar to places I can go up here for Vacation, and I would probably be willing to do that and pay for it eventually I was thinking about trying one of the ones that are not on my radar to pay for like Contemporary or Grand Floridian. And Poly is kind of in the same category of I would be willing to pay at some point to go back there. DH would like AKL so being a shorter trip I might consider that one too. What to do??? More research will be needed if I ever see an email or get a call.

Thanks for asking and prompting more dreams

I would be tempted to try for Contemporary simply because of the convenience, but, with our upcoming stay being at BLT, I feel like I should branch out if given the opportunity. I would really love to stay at the Poly, but DH says he would want the Grand Flo if we won. (hypothetical) decisions, decisions...

I would love to do a split-stay between CR and BC or YC. Probably BC cause my kids would love the pool there!

We stayed at the Poly recently and while I loved it, I wouldn't stay there again until the construction is completed.

If we went during the Christmas season, I'd have to choose the GF.

Ya if you already are doing BLT, then I'd be considering something else like GF, unless of course you can just extend your current chosen vacation. :-)

I wonder how much of the construction you would really notice since you are at the parks most of the day and when you are not the areas you are in would be beautiful......but I get that thinking too. Especially if you might go back another time.

LOL Split stay would be cool idea but really being at a resort only 1 night doesn't give a good feel for me. I need a couple days to venture around.
Hmmm another vote to wait until construction is done.....okie dokie
But really if my 3 choices didn't get honored and they put me at Poly, I'd figure out how to enjoy it. :goodvibes

Just spent the last half hour reading more about the deluxe resorts.
GF and CR are definitely going on the top two with looks like AKL since the Poly construction seems to be a lesser choice for the others. hmmm

Temps have hit 0 outside and they are talking -37 in the morning.
Lots of schools cancelling.

Well I guess I'll go put an extra blanket on the bed and get some sleep so I can see what the sweepstake site throws at me tomorrow.
Dream Dream Dream!
Sweet magical ones to you.

We have always stayed value, so it would b great to get to stay in a deluxe! My FAVORITE is WL!! 2nd choice Poly or Beach Club!

Can't extend the current trip, as we're going over spring break and will have to get back for school. Can't cancel the current trip, as we're staying on rented DVC points. Guess we'd just have to force ourselves to take a second trip. ;)

Also want to note that I wasn't one of the ones who mentioned the Poly construction. While I'm not in love with the idea of staying there with all the work, I wouldn't turn it down for free! But I think the bulk of the work would be done by the time we'd be able to go anyway.

Hoping someone hears some good news tomorrow!

We tend to stay 7-8 nights when we go to WDW so we'd split 3 (BC) & 4 (CR)...maybe, just a thought I have right now. We have done multiple trips with split-stays and while I don't like moving our stuff, we have been able to really learn which resorts we love and which we wouldn't choose again.

As far as the Poly, we were there three weeks ago for 7 nights and it was fabulous!! Even with the construction. So, I wouldn't turn my nose up either at staying there if that were my only monorail resort option. But the construction is pretty pervasive right now and while I would love to stay there again someday, I prefer to wait and see it in all it's 'glory'.
