It's Back-January Trip-A-Day Contest!

I entered W. Williams contest today for the first time. After I entered I went back to read the "official rules". It states you have to enter the word of the day spelled correctly (not surprising) and exactly as it appeared on your TV screen. Well, I think I capitalized the word......don't know why :sad2: but I'm assuming that will negate my entry for the day!

I hope not. I just type it. The first letter is caps but te rest is lower case. I still get the thank you for your entry message. I hope it works. I never won these things anyway.

Well, now I'm worried, but then I went to read the rules and the exact quote is:
"In order to be an eligible entry, each
“Word of the Day” must be spelled correctly as it appears on
the Wendy Williams Show."

So they don't say exactly as it appeared on your TV screen, so I feel a bit better about that, but has anyone out there seen how exactly these words ARE displayed on the screen? Is it the same every day (all caps, all lower case, etc) or do they change up? No sense in taking any chances, right? :)

I caught bits and pieces of the WW show today, and I'm pretty sure the first letter only was capitalized. I would hope that as long as your entry is accepted that the format is acceptable.

I have been using lower case letters. I get the thank you for entering message. I hope my entries have counted.

I've been entering it in all caps and have gotten a thank you for entering every time. That's the way it is printed on the Facebook site The Main Street Mouse. They put up the word of the day every night. I don't think it matters whether it's in all caps or all lower case letters or capitalized then lower case letters. I think the only condition is that it is spelt the way The Wendy Williams show has it on the screen every week day. So I wouldn't worry. I just went through the rules and it didn't say it had to be in any kind of form of writing just that it had to be spelt correctly. If you're getting a Thank You for Entering message I think it went through fine. So that's the way I'm taking it. :)

Just a question. Did anybody hear about a sweepstakes for a Disney Cruise Line cruise? My mom told me she was watching something earlier this week in the morning probably a morning show and saw a DCL cruise sweepstakes mentioned. She can't remember what she was watching or what channel she was on, she just remembered a DCL cruise sweepstakes being offered. I have been wanting to enter it, but I can't find it anywhere using a search engine. If anyone knows something about it here could you please let me know either on here or by PM? Thanks so much. :thanks:

You have to upload a video of your child. But this is a monthly drawing, so it may be worth it??

Thanks SarahEleanor. :-) I know about that one. I don't have any kids so I can't enter that one. I was thinking of one that was announced this week. It would be fairly new. Maybe my mom saw a commercial for DCL and thought it was a Sweepstakes. She did say she had just woken up and wasn't sure what was said. Maybe it will come up on a Disney Sweepstakes site in the future. The sites I frequent only update every week and some not as often as that. They also post some SS late. Thanks again for the help. :-)

There is also the Visit Orlando contest and Vacationfun.com sweepstakes. We should rename this thread "Disney sweeps" and just keep them going!! I'm entering four contests/per day right now.
Maybe someone should create a new thread for listing new sweepstakes. If anyone has time today, that would be much appreciated! Otherwise, I'll work on one tonight. I'm also wondering if it should go in the Disney Promotions sub forum?

I just watched it on the DVR and it is in all caps.
Resort only had the "R" capitalized, just watched the show on my dvr, since it's on here at 1am!:faint:
Every word so far has only had the first letter capitalized. I've been watching for anything weird since I read the rules about the spelling. :thumbsup2

I believe we have had 4 2015 winners check in, though one or two joined the boards after winning the trip. I guess it's not too late to be notified. I keep checking my emails. :badpc:

Please, Betty! :lovestruc
