Don't think about it. If you do, you'll just be more self-conscious than you need to be. Will you be able to shoot from the other ear or is that the side that the camera will focus on?

the doc says he got it all, so now it's all healing time. And at some point they'll test my hearing and see if that has improved at all. I've been hearing somewhat out of that ear again, so I know I can hear at least. It's just a question of how it compares to the hearing level I was at before the surgery.

DW still can't stand to look at the incision though.

Thanks Queenie.

My plan is shoot at a slight angle to minimize the howdy doody ear. I also plan to incorporate a slide show on my tv screen over my shoulder to subtly draw some attention away from myself.

I'm behind on several TRs I have been following, and it's been a while since I've updated my own.

No worries. I wasn't actually angling for you to go check it out. But the more the merrier....

I ended up writing 3 PTRs and 3 TRs between March 2010 and March 2011. That's where franandaj (Alison) and I first met...on my first PTR.
I think disneyfirefly and I met on one of the lasting threads and we met up in 3D in the October trip. Spent most of my trip hanging out with her.
Usnuz was hanging out on the Old Fogies thread and unluckily for her...mentioned that she wished she could meet some of us. Sadly for her, I was on my way on the 3rd trip in January and 'coerced' her to meet 3D in January. Alison and I also met face to face on that January trip.

Despite living the closest to Queenie, we've not yet met in person!

Skiingfast pitched up on the January/Cali/DLR trip. We'll probably end up meeting 3D sometime as well.

I'd gotten used to having a PTR or TR in the works and missed the activity. So, I pulled out the pictures from the 2007 trip and started to write. This turned out to be harder than I thought because the pictures weren't taken by me....they were taken by DH in the days when I didn't know how to spell dSLR.

Alison was prodding me to update that TR...so I've done so.

I recommend the January 2011 trip. It's the shortest and the one that I count the pictures as my own. Probably the easiest to read too. But be warned....pictures (particularly food porn) and I? Well, lets just say that we're old friends.

October 2010 was fun....DH was attending a conference and I wasn't sure I was attending. So, it ended up being my NOT PTR and I think I got reasonable mileage out of NOT going and NOT having ADRs and the like. I think I managed to have some fun at NOT-ting every single rabid Disney planning topic-bastion!

Nice update. I feel like those canals have been used in a movie.
Looks like the canal (and bridge) in the movie Valentines Day with Ashton....but I could be completely wrong. Too tiiiiiiiiired...

Yes.Very.Nice.Of.That.Cousin! We had planned to go to Santa Monica Pier that day instead....but because she wanted to come and see us (I did try very hard to persuade her to stay at home), we ended up at Venice instead. I have to admit that the times that I had visited Venice Beach before, I hadn't liked the seediness. But 3rd time was the charm....those canals were wonderful!

I don't like the seediness or over touristyness of quite a few places...
I couldn't take to Honolulu /Waikiki last time we were there. After a week in Maui especially....
I don't bother with Hollywood or LA really anymore. And no....beaches like that aren't a big draw for me. I like coastal drives though....
