Taking the ferry part of the way home tonight. Weather is lovely. Breezy but no rain.
Takes a bit longer. But given I left work 'on time' I can do it without being too much in the dark...

So...
While I don't live on the river, there is a stop along the Parramatta river that is a 5-10min walk from a train station on my train line.
I very much enjoy taking ferry rides and they are included in the weekly ticket I buy.
Mostly I use them simply to enjoy a trip from Circular Quay around to Darling Harbour.
But I decided I'd take a ferry up to river...

The Parramatta river travels from Sydney Harbour...to....you guessed it...Parramatta.

The sun was setting and so here's a few iphone snaps...

Now to take these shots I sat in the front. But these are 'rivercats' rather than traditional ferries and being more streamlined sitting in the front is rather....breezy....once we get going...

I guess. I don't mind it on cooler days...just need to be mindful of the rivercats

Once we took the ferry from Queensland mainland to Lady Musgrave Island....





There is a mostly no wash area in the harbour so they don't go too fast. Hence enjoying just wandering the harbour ferries are nice
