It's always good to ask...

I had left my credit card at one of the Epcot shops and it was returned to the Transportation Center (thanks to my concierge for calling and finding this out). After a short day at the Magic Kingdom, I took the monorail to the TTC. I did not want to take the monorail back after because a parade was just ending. Likewise, I did not want to take the monorail to Epcot because I would have had to walk through it to get to my hotel (Beach Club). Because of that, I waited for the first bus to either MGM or Animal Kingdom and figured I would switch at whatever park and then ride back to the Beach Club.

Well, there were several folks waiting to get to MGM at about 4pm when I was there and no bus in sight. At that moment, a bus to AK shows up so I hop on and find I'm the only one on the bus when he leaves (I figure nobody would head over to the AK at that hour when it closes at 5pm)!

I ride the bus, saying hello and chatting him up, and as I see the Swan approach down the road, I ask him if there is any chance he could go instead to the Beach Club. He looks around, says why not since I'm the only one there, and drives me to the hotel, saving me about 30 minutes of transfer and transportation time!

Not everyone working at Disney may be happy, but that really made my day!

That's cool!! I had a great bus driver do that for me last year! I was going from the CBR to the Boardwalk (Jellyrolls meet) and I got on a bus from DTD. I asked the guy which stop was for Boardwalk, he told me, and then while we were talking I was explaining where I was going and who I was meeting (disers...had to explain that one!) and he told me that since no one was headed back to DTD he would just swing by the BW and let me off! it was a great bit of pixie dust!!
