Here is our preliminary itinerary...

If I've learned anything being an avid planner,
it's the fact that itineraries change...;)

Cast of Characters:
-side note-
In my last report I tried using an alias for each character...
and in doing so, I learned that all's that does is confuse people.

So the real characters are....

My Mom-Jill
administrator of this voyage, got us a suite at SOG for 5 nights.
My BIL-Tommy
going because he can. His wife and daughter went on the Disney Western Cruise with Mom this past August and now it's his turn.
My 14 & 15 yo nephews: Otto & Chucky
Great kids, true boys, developed the love of Disney when we took them their first time 2 years ago, in December of 2002.
My 18 yo son-Adrian
Has been to the world 5 times and would go 5 more if you ask him. (Who also has a steady girlfriend that's going to miss the dickens out of him.)
My 16 yo daughter-Brittany
Has been to the world 4 times, with 2 more on deck. Is learning to be an avid planner like her mother.
My wonderful husband-John
Gladly goes to disney, as long as he doesn't have to plan anything
and Me-Colleen
Disney addict, who wasn't happy with 5 days and added 2 more (at Coronado Springs.) Responsible for spreading the addiction to Mom. (Mom's been 5 times since 99 with 2 more on deck.)

The Plan:

Friday-Driving down, first pit stop in Santee, SC
Saturday-SC to FL check in at SOG, Dinner at O'Hana's
Sunday-MGM, PS at 50's Prime Time Cafe
Monday/Tuesday-US/IOA
Wednesday-Epcot, PS at San Angel Inn (DH & My wedding anniversary)
Thursday-check out SOG, check in at CSR-hotel day, MVMCP that night.
Friday-US/IOA (yes, again)
Saturday-go straight home, do not pass go, do not collect $200...

It's sad that we are almost there and I can already feel that this trip is almost over. We plan on making the best of this trip and are hoping to relax a little bit. I've even promised the children I would let them sleep in.

We stayed off property last time.
Being on site this time, I'll be teaching the children how to get around on their own. This way we can all take our vacation at whatever pace we choose.

Wowee, it's getting close! Have you begun packing yet?
I love the idea of having an anniversary dinner at San Angel Inn, it's such a cozy atmosphere. (Congratulations! ).
I don't see MK on your itinerary, though. Are you skippimg it? Is that where MVMCP is held? We've never been to WDW at Christmastime.

Will you be taking the kids out of school? You guys are going to have a ball.
Thanks for the pre-trip report, Colleen! I can't wait to hear all the details!

You know it! We leave Friday morning!

Thank you...we've never eaten there so what better occassion to try it :D

Yes, we'll be at MK for MVMCP...if we get in at 4 we have a full 8 hours to do the park. MK offers free photos and free hot cocoa and cookies...it's all good. The only WDW park we're not doing this trip is AK.

Will you be taking the kids out of school?

Yes, actually...my kids will have 6 days to make up when we return.

You guys are going to have a ball.

I am looking forward to sharing our trip with you.
When you went, how did you keep all your trip details?
I'm thinking of taking notes during the day and writing it out each night...
is that what you did?

I didn't take notes during the day. At night, I'd write out an outline of what we did and fill it in later. I'd ask my kids "did we eat at garden Grill first yesterday or did we go on Mission:Space first? Whatever I couldn't remember for sure, someone else did, so I was able to write out a nice detailed TR. Plus, asking them to help me remember was fun, as we re-capped our days, re-living them.

It's funny the things I think about just waiting for this trip to happen...
I picture myself standing in line for rides and taking notes

If I get stuck on details I will definitely enlist the kids' help to fill in the blanks.
I also decided my story will be supported by lots and lots of pictures! :3dglasses

Hi Jennymouse!

Check my signature, I have days 1 and 2 completed....
except for days 1 & 2 the whole itinerary changed;)
