It's all about the shopping... with Wigd and Shocker

Never tried Raglan Road, I'll have to put it on my list - which just keeps getting longer and longer!

Glad you were able to enjoy a nice dinner with Trent :goodvibes

I love virtual shopping! The future nerd shirt is the best, I wish they had one for "big" kids and adults!

Raglan is one of my fav's, I can't wait to go there in May.

I  virtual shopping with you and Memom!
Now I know what I want to get the new niece or nephew I'll have at the end of the summer.

Raglan Road gets such good reviews frome everyone.

Your holiday decorations are so cute. Love them!

My guess is....
nooooo!

I'll tell you what I do, though.

I bring out a big plate of sticks and leaves and flowers and ask them who that would be a good meal for. They say deer and rabbits and a variety of animals, and then I suggest that a big plate of roots, stems, leaves and flowers would also be a good meal for them. They 'yuck' a little bit, and then we go into talking about different plants that we eat. They get a paper plate to divide into fourths. They then go to stations around the rooms and have to decide if the foods are roots, stems, leaves, or flowers, and they put one sample in the right fourth. When everyone is back at their seats, we discuss. At the end of the lesson, I break out a bottle of ranch dressing, and they eat their Science lesson.

They like it, and they participate and stay on task the whole time, so I figured it would be good for an observation.

Yep, they are!

I can't wait to hug that boy again in a few weeks. I miss him so much. I'm already dreading saying goodbye from this trip that has not even started! Silly me. :sad2:

He loves it when you guys come to visit. He says the same thing - it feels like having family. :) I hope you guys get to hook up again on your March trip.
I didn't think I had a chance of getting that lesson on a video tape but what foods do you fix for them?

We will be very disappointed if we don't get to see Trent in March. I know Baylor especially will be wanting a visit with him.
Just think you are less than three weeks away from that hug!
Ah, so fun that you were able to meet up with Trent and Tanya for dinner. I hear such great things about Raglan Road.

I always enjoy virtual shopping around Disney -- especially when there are such pretty Christmas displays to look at!
Oh yes! Raglan Rd, so much fun! I did get my music on my iphone last night! Just took me back, if only I could do that dancing....
Shopping in disneyland is like dream come true for all of us here in Miami and also meeting with Disney characters is one time opportunity

It was fun to decorate our balcony, didn't take much time at all!
Raglan is a great place to go when you are shopping in the evening! Make your reservation around 7 pm, that's when the music and dancing gets going!:thumbsup2
Or go later, and sit at the the bar, you can walk up...

YAY! DIS arm twisting gets results!! What was that football game they played last night??!! Great update, and I agree, fun to see all those decorations again!! LOVE it.

I have never been to Raglan Road, but I could see it being a great choice in the winter for sure! Good for Xmas! :thumbsup2 FUN

I love your window decorations :) TOO cute! :santa:

Very cute baby onesies! Did you buy any of those for the baby?

I am sure your observation went just fine! I hate using my lap top b/c I feel like the keys can make too much noise and be a distraction or cause stress!! Good that your Principal can laugh... I imagine a healthy sense of humor has to be part of the package in an Elementary school!!!!

Fabulous and shopping trip Anita!!!

We ate at Raglan Roads for the first time in December and it was great! We'll definitely return!!!

I knew I needed to get an update done, and another pretty quick as well!
We didn't really watch that game at all. Went to a late matinee, saw The King's Speech. It was empty!
As a matter of fact I bought three of the Hamm onsies, one for Hunter, one for Michelle and John's new baby Gavin, and one for a friend's grandbaby...
I thought they were pretty cute!
We'll have to get to the souvie pics to see what else I brought back. I can't remember.:lmao:

My observation did go fine.
I'm my own worst critic.

Dang!! I was looking forward to Basin and now they say it is closed!!!! Boooooo! I hope you stocked up while you were there. :(

The onesies are adorable. I love that you chose the Hamm one. I love Hamm! :) Glad to hear that the WDW Basin is not closed!

I miss my bubby!!!! Can't wait to see him in just a few short weeks. I know his rats are anxious to see him too.

:eek::eek:

I just checked!! Link to article http://www.diszine.com/content/basin-at-downtown-disney-district-closes-anne-geddes-to-be-next

They closed the Disneyland location.
No plans to close either location in Disney World.

Whew'

:banana::banana:

Guess I won't be saving money on this trip after all. I thought if it was closed, one less place to leave my $$. DH would have been thrilled.

A question - I thought I knew this, but not sure. Is Trent MeMom's son? I can never keep all the relations on these threads straight!!

I was hoping to find a onsie with Rex on it but no such luck, Hamm was awfully cute though!

Trent is MeMom's son, and Marc and I claim him too!
You know Marc is with Dave on his feelings about Basin. It wouldn't break his heart one bit if they closed...

Cool! whatever I read said the one in the World too!!! Thank goodness it's not, I was looking forward to getting xmas gifts.... Thanx a ton. :)

Looks like for now, and as long as they are making a profit our Basin shopping will be safe!:goodvibes

I can't wait to try Raglan Road in May. It looks like a blast!

I love your Christmas decorations. Great way to locate your room!
