It's all about the shopping... with Wigd and Shocker

Sounds like a fun weekend! Have a great time and post some pictures :goodvibes
I'm sure we will have a wonderful weekend! Check fb, the pics will be there first!
Have a fun weekend!! That should be fun!!
Jen and I have been counting down the days!
Oh my, I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time, but your lost car story is pretty amusing now!

Have fun with Jen this weekend!
Oh Michelle, I knew at the time we would look back at this and laugh, but you are right at the time I was fuming!!!
Jen is on the road right now, later on she will be coming right by you!
OY!! Glad to know I'm not the only one who can get lost in a Disney parking lot!!

Yes 1st Cardinal rule of renting a car at Disney...text yourself the Lot and aisle # where you parked and take a picture!! I write it down too just to make sure LOL!!!!!!!

Hopefully you'll give having a car at Disney a 2nd try..LOL!!!!

OOOH do you know how fun it is to say see you later today!!! WOOT WOOT
Oh text yourself! Another great idea!
I'll do that too!
Write it down in case your phone dies....
I'm sure we will rent again in December. I'm thinking a van.
As you already know we are driving in May/June!

:rotfl::rotfl::lmao::lmao:

I could just see that happening to DH & I. No rentals for us. We can get lost in our backyard & we joke about it all the time. It would not seem right if we went on a trip & did not get lost at least once.

Have a fun Dismeet weekend!!

The news this morning is just devasting. Praying for everyone.
Now Doreen, we have worked out all of the rental car bugs for you.
it's safe now!
I would say Donald is ONE LUCKY DUCK......I am pretty sure if Baylor hadn't wanted to be in a head lock, Donald would have likely ended up needing his handler to rescue him or at the very least, help him up from the ground!! ;)

I too am praying for all those in the news this a.m. It sure seems like more and more stuff is happening and so much more frequently.

Hope you get lots accomplished today.....I know you are scrambling trying to get it all done, but as they say.....stop and smell the roses along the way....and open the soap while you're at it!!!!

I'm still voting for y'all to go ahead and get a rental this trip too. Just in case Harper wants to ride the trams!!!

I'm sure the trams would be just like a ride to Harper. I tried that and Marc said that you weren't funny.

So it's almost time for you to leave, right?
You know you could have just bussed it back and come back later for the car. When the lot was empty. Then you could find it easy. :rolleyes1 :confused3 :rotfl2:

In '09 MK was closed NYE to everyone but resort and annual pass guests.
That week several times I looked and MK was was at that stage of capacity many times.
AK NYE day - Empty.
There was no leaving that car...
We were going to look until it was found.
EVERYONE wants to be at MK!
Last year we went to MK on Christmas Night and it was very calm...
They had all gone back the their resorts.

I think that sounds like a spendid idea! Maybe it could be with some DIS friends too!

Where should we go? Maybe Chef Mickey's? I don't know, though - we might all be drained from Christmas stuff and travel. Just a hang out at a resort might be as wonderful as anything, since that is a travel day.

Either way, the friend thing is on.

Have fun with Jen this weekend! :cool1:

The friend thing IS for sure, still keeping our fingers crossed that we can get that big place to stay! (Another thought would be a Tree House Villa)
We will be seeing a lot of each other that way!

As far as eating it doesn't matter. You know it will be all about the little ones at that point!

OK, you need to clear up my confusion.
Are you going to be there this next NYE?
For some reason I thought it was going to be another year before we would see you...

Baylor is quite a Donald fan.
Last summer every time we went in through the entrance at WS Donald was there. Baylor had the best time with him.
Until the day Baylor had on a Mickey T.
Then Donald put Baylor in a head lock..
It was awesome!
Finally Donald covered Baylor's shirt to take the picture.

Sorry I confused you...we are going this year for NYE!!! I'll be celebrating turning 40! :woohoo:

I'm looking forward to meeting you and all the rest of the DIS friends!

It should be so much fun...we will need a huge patch of grass at Poly beach to fit all of us. :thumbsup2

I guess Donald is quite the comedian when it comes to guest interactions...glad he made Baylor smile!

The news out of Japan is so bad. I'm just glad that my son's trip to Tokyo was 2 weeks ago.

The parking experience was so funny. That has happened to us & it is a sure way to brighten up a vacation! NOT! :rotfl:

Bla, bla, bla.....

No, like I said....

I never thought of taking a picture of the sign.....
Now I know!!!
I told him, and I have no idea why he didn't listen.

Taking pictures is a great idea!:thumbsup2 We don't usually drive to the parks, so I could see that happening to us!

Typical man.
Doesn't listen.
The trees were great!

The surprise is going to a Braves game, with an on field experience ticket. Baylor is going to love this! :goodvibes

Cool surprise! My friend is going to be there when you are. Her son and husband are going to see the Braves too. I think they are going on Fri. I told her I was going to stow away in her car!

I was the only one that glanced at the sign.
I thought I remembered unicorn.
That's just where it was.

Nor was our lost car episode!

I'll just tell you I had visions of us still walking around that parking lot at park closing....

I can totally understand that fear! It's never happened to us there, but I've had that fear in other parking lots, when I can't remeber where I parked.

We both remembered what it looked like, just one of us remembered where it was.

At least you knew what your car looked like!

Other excitement around here is the visit from our dear DIS friend Jen!
She is arriving tonight for a sleepover and we have a busy day planned tomorrow!
Did I mention we have some trip planning to do?
Can't wait to see her!

Hope you got stuff accomplished today! Have a fun weekend with Jen!
It is terrible about the earthquake and tsunami. I can't imagine having to leave so quickly and not know what's happening in your area! At least when hurricanes and tropical storms come our way, we have much more warning!

Okay, the car drama is totally something that would happen to me...I routinely misplace my car in parking garages and parking lots. The worst was in an IKEA parking garage. Every time I go to the mall, I have to park at the same entrance because I WILL forget where I parked otherwise. It's so bad. :rotfl2: I have learned to take a picture of where I park in parking garages now, at least. My boyfriend made fun of me for doing that when we went to a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. Guess who couldn't remember where we parked afterwards, and guess who pulled out the camera to check and said, "TOLD you this was a good idea!" Yup. He'll never make fun of me for that again. :rotfl:

Have fun with Jen this weekend! Can't wait to see any pictures on Facebook!

The devastation in Japan is just heartbreaking! My dad used to work at a nuclear power plant, so this morning when I saw the one in Japan had exploded and gone into melt-down, I just .

Have fun with Jen this weekend!!! :goodvibes

It is really frightening to be reminded of the power of nature and how we, with all our technology and advancement, cannot even begin to manage that reality. So scary when these things collide.

WigD, I would love an excuse to buy Disney luggage

YOUR car story is funny, those parking lots can seem twice as large as they are already if you are looking for a needle in a haystack! Or a Prius...

Hope the rest of Christmas day goes along swimingly... I LOVED seeing your photos of the Christmas trees, this is ONE thing we didn't get to see and I wish we had. I love those themed trees!!! TOOO cute!!!!

Great fun with Jen! How much fun that will be! Glad you are going to have such a good time this weekend! Can't wait to see the trouble you gals get into!

First, your purchases for Harper are just the cutest!!! So sweet!! :lovestruc

I LOVE your dress for the wedding! My brother got married a few years ago and my mom had such a hard time finding an outfit...most of that "mother of the bride/groom" stuff is so old and matronly. She finally picked out a nice dress but it was hard to find. Yours is just gorg! I want pictures of you and your group in all your wedding finery. :bride:

I REALLY REALLY want to make the NYE 2012 meet. I am, as we speak, pricing plane tickets, room, etc. Moral of the story - it's not going to be cheap. I might end up taking a shorter trip, like flying in on the 30th and out on the 2nd, or something, but darn it I want to get there!! :yay:

Have a great day with Jen! :cheer2:

Gosh it seems that the news from Japan just keeps getting worse.
Glad that your son's trip is a thing of the past!
At least you knew what your car looked like!

We have a full day planned today, lots of wedding errands!

Poor Japan, it just sounds awful...

I forget where I parked just going to the market!
Good for you remembering at the concert!!!
FB pics should commence as soon as we are properly dressed for the day!

Just turned the TV on, we had quite the late night last night...
We had no idea about the latest new from Japan!
We are planning on some fun with Jen!
Megan is planning on cheap labor....:rotfl2:

Megan has plans for us today, I doubt that we can get into much trouble...

We had missed the themed trees the year we met as well, so we wanted to make sure we saw them this time around.:goodvibes

We had a great Christmas as soon as the car drama was over!

This Japan crisis is just beyond comprehension for me...:sad2:

I was so happy to find the dress that I found, being able to wear it on the cruise is a real bonus!!!
Also know what you mean about the matronly dresses, so many were and I was just not feeling that!

Harper gets so excited about the new clothes!

Funny Harper story...
I had tried on her Minnie bathing suit and she was on my lap. (still had her diaper on and it was rather wet)
She got up and my pants were wet as well!
Her reply?
Mimi, I'm very sorry, but you'll be ok.... :flower3:

That girl needs to get potty trained!!! :rolleyes1

Hilarious!!! Oh my goodness!! :rotfl: What do you say to that?! So cute! Hopefully she will be easier to potty train. My mom has potty trained nearly every kid in our family, not just hers. 3-4 days and they're ready to go. However, we bribe them with presents, treats, etc as a motivator. If you want to send Harper to Iowa for a long weekend, we'll see what we can do! :thumbsup2

Cute outfits for Harper!
Love love love the luggage.
And your dress is so beautiful.

Your parking lot story is hilarious! That has happened to us before. But at the mall and apple picking. :rolleyes1

A rental car definitely spoils you at Disney. After renting the past two years, we decided we will always rent a car.

Have a terrific weekend! :goodvibes

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend with Jen!! :goodvibes

Oh my....I saw your luggage pictures on FB but I had no idea you were so well stocked on all of the princess dresses as well!! She will look adorable!! :) Love the shirts too!! The towel is hilarious!! So, so funny!! :rotfl2:

Having never rented a car while at WDW I probably would have gotten on Disney transportation out of habit and forgotten I had rented a car!! :rotfl2: Although all of your side trips looked like a lot of fun :thumbsup2

Well, as Judge Judy would say.....at least she didn't look up at you and tell you it was raining!!! I am thinking that you, Marc and Baylor are going to have a very Magical trip unlike any other you have had before!!!! GO HARPER :cheer2:

We are here....am going to try and not get all the Pixie Dust and Magic this week, so there will be some left for you.......OK......so there will be some left for Harper and my buddy, Baylor next week!!!! Even though we haven't been to a park yet, it looks pretty crowded down here!! Doesn't matter.....WE ARE AT DISNEY WORLD!!!!! :cloud9:

Oh and about that potty training thing....you've got all next week to work on that!!!! ;)

Hope you and Jen aren't being too rough on Marc and are have some fun too!! OH and on that note, JEN, if Marc drives you and Anita anywhere.......make a mental note of where HE parked the car....or better yet, snap a quick picture of it's location!!! :rotfl2:

I just grabbed some new pants and cleaned up.
We all got a good laugh out of it actually.
Including Harper.
i wish I could send her to your potty training boot camp!!!
Cute outfits for Harper!

Thanks! Shopping for Harper has really been fun! I hope she has fun on our trip!
I put a few things in the Donald bag for Harper yesterday and will start my packing this afternoon. The new luggage makes it fun!

I found some more new jewelry to go with my dress yesterday and a clutch. Poor Marc...
He got very tired of being in the accessory store.
Hope you are having a fabulous weekend with Jen!! :goodvibes

We had such fun with Jen! I was sorry to see her leave this morning but I did have to share her with her parents.
My daughter Megan has certainly taken to her as well!:goodvibes

We have Harper's carry on filled with her princess dresses. At least they are light and fluffy!

Yay! You are at Disney!!!
I'll bet it is crowded, you are there with the great state of Texas....
Have a wonderful time and we would love for you to check in!!!

Nope, no potty training while we are at Disney, I'll let her mom take care of that or send her to Iowa to Katie's boot camp.

Marc did really well yesterday, we didn't lose the car one time!

Well dear friends this is going to get wrapped up in short form...
A very busy week awaits me.

Tomorrow is an eye appointment after school and then a visit to my weight loss consultant.

Tuesday hair appointment.

Wednesday spray tan.

Thursday nails and pedi.

Friday Rehearsal dinner.

Saturday Wedding at 5:00.

Sunday we drive to KC.

Monday we fly to Orlando bright and early!!!

I'm going to see how much I can get done on the trip report tonight....
Sorry if I skimp a bit.

After finding the car we drove to Beach Club where we were having dinner later, but first walked to Epcot to meet up with Cheena, Eddie and Charesse.

IMG_1002.jpg

After spending some time with them they were off to meet Ed for dinner and we were after some caramel corn.

IMG_1013.jpg

IMG_1010.jpg

We wandered around World Showcase until it was time for our dinner then we walked up here...

IMG_1005.jpg

After a proper stuffing we rolled out to the car and back to POR to begin packing for our move in the morning.

We woke up to a brisk wind, wow had the weather changed!
The bellman was called and our car loaded. We drove to VWL and checked in.

IMG_1007.jpg

Our room would be ready shortly. We stowed our bags and headed to DHS.

Oh My Goodness, we liked to froze on the tram.
It was too cold to much of anything besides draw so we went and did two classes.
Here's the results.

IMG_1009.jpg

Then I just had to stalk this woman to get a photo of the pants she was wearing![/SIZE]

IMG_1015.jpg

We grabbed a snack...

IMG_1014.jpg

Honestly I think we might have gone into the shops to stay warm at this point but decided to go back to the lodge. It was so cold!

We were in luck, our villa was ready when we got there!
We were way up high and it was charming and cozy...

View from our balcony.

A few more villa pics.

We settled in and relaxed, soon it was time to meet Stacy and family for dinner at WCC. We had dinner reservations near the same time but we were going to try to eat together.
Stacy walked right up and was able to put Marc and I with them.
It was such a fun meal.
With her and I it was like we had known each other forever.
Sorry for this blurry pic.

Ben needed some catsup for his fries! Not sure if John was going to help him with it or not...

IMG_1055.jpg

Ellie always such a sweet little lady...

IMG_1051.jpg

Our yummy skillet!!

IMG_1057.jpg

After dinner we decided to meet up in the morning, Stacy's group would be there at RD, I told her we would try to get there earlyish.

We zipped up to the room grabbed coats and made a quick run to the outlet, very quick, we did have an early morning ahead.

O M G!!! Do you have a busy week ahead or what!?!!! Wow!! :worship:

Have you done the spray tan before? I was thinking about it and my stylist keeps telling me to but I don't know....I don't want to look all Jersey Shore:rotfl: But then I don't want to be all Casper in May either!!

Happy you had a fun weekend with Jen!!:goodvibes

Tracy

Tracy,
I have never done the spray on before. Megan said that I need to lay in the tanning bed first then have the person spray it on by hand.

Since a person does NOT wear panty hose anymore I need some color on my legs.

I am so making her go with me....

This week is going to zoom by for you!
It'll be a crazy, but special weekend. :)

Your picture is good. If the teaching thing doesn't work out, you can be a Disney artist.

I bet your room was very inviting after being out in the cold!

Stacey's family is great, aren't they? We only got to visit for a few minutes, but I hope our paths will cross for a meal or at least an ice cream one of these days.

Whispering Canyon is one of Trent's very favorite restaurants. He can chow down at that place! He says he hopes to get to see you next week.
