It's a Small World to Use Magic Band Names

Just read an article that said IASW now flashes names at the exit, saying goodbye to guests.

That is pretty fun.

For our upcoming trip we decided to have a little fun with our Magic Bands, since no one ever sees the inside of the band, and not use our names on our Magic Bands.

We have a a set that just arrived in the mail with the names "SmartKid," "SweetGal," "Mommy" and "Grandma."

So I am wondering whether we will register on the IASW signs as the names the Magic Bands are issued to, or the names we had put on the inside of the Magic Bands.

That will be interesting to see.

That makes sense. I could imagine some people getting fairly creative with their Magic Bands . . .

Is this active now? Is it something that will continue, or is it on a test basis?
Are there any other things that customize your experience based on your magic bands? (I thought I heard that Mickey at Town Square might use some of your personal info in conversation?)

We went 2 weeks ago for 2 different days, and they don't have it active.
Hope you have better luck.

Are there any other things that customize your experience based on your magic bands?

There are numerous "Props" in place throughout WDW.

It is just not known when they will be activated.

We rode it last week and it was not working at that time. Have heard reports it was occasionally working.
