Its a Small World Rehab and Expansion

Goofmeister I'm with you! My daughter is going to be soo upset when I tell her ! We finally saved enough for a trip from Nj in Sept and who knows when we'll be able to go again. This is my 2 year old's first trip and she will miss a great memory. We went to disney when my 4 yr old was 19 mos and that is all she talks about seeing when we go. She listens to the tune its a small world on her "kidz clips" ALL THE TIME! Where can I find out for sure if it will be closed? Anyone know?

Aside from the mention made of it in the Sentinel story, I don't think Disney has made an official announcement of this. It certainly isn't on the refurb schedule posted on DisneyWorld.com, but that should happen in a few months.

I think its safe to say this is gonna happen. All the sites that track this sort of thing are giving the same dates and the Sentinel story seems to back them up.

Okay.....so is it going down?
Official word anyone??
When??

Thanks,
Screamscape says June 7th, 2004 until March 18th, 2005, though they admit Disney hasn't announced the dates yet.

I recently heard that where the sky way was located was going to be adjusted and room for stroller parking is going to be made there. Not sure how legit this rumor is, but if it is true it would be good due to the excess of strollers in the area.

While I don't think this is the best use of a former attraction area, I agree that using it for strollers is better than the current situation. The area becomes quite a chokepoint with all of the strollers, as well as those who stand outside the FP entrance for Peter Pan waiting for their time to come up. (People, you got a FP because you didn't want to wait... so don't spend your time waiting for your window to open. Go get another FP. Go on another attraction. Get a drink. Buy some plush. SOMETHING.)

Thank You! Great Point. :crowded:

Screamscape is reporting that they may try to partially reproduce the DL facace inside of the building at WDW.

It would have to be scaled back, but it would still be a big improvement over what is currently there.

I always thought it would be great if the put the White and gold Disneyland facade in the loading area at WDW.Repaint everything in light blues, white and gold. Add some opaque greenhouse roofs in the loading area to bring in more light (similar to the Crystal Palace) and add loads of plants and trees.
