Does anyone have any information on what exactly will be done.?Thanks!:)

When is it scheduled?

I cant' believe they are refurbing again, it was closed about 3 years ago when we were there. As long as they stay on schedule it will be reopened before we get there (it better be)!!!

I am wondering the same thing. The refurb 3 years ago was major -- they added the clock tower, repainted the entire interior, repaired all the dolls, added new dolls for some new countries, and probably more that I can't remember.

And these new refurb dates span our upcoming August trip too. :sad1:

This will be my first Disney trip where I won't have the song replaying in my mind for a month! Kind of like an invisible souvenir. :goodvibes It would be nice if they made the dolls a little less Chucky-esque. :rolleyes1

Some have been speculating they might be adding Disney characters to the attraction like they did a few years ago at DLR in CA. I saw pictures and the additions were really cute and not intrusive- Lilo and Stitch in the Hawaiian scene, Alice in Wonderland characters in England, Lion King in Africa, etc- but done in the Mary Blair style.

I,personally, don't think Disney Characters are going to be added during the Refurb.:)

My "guess" is that a "Holiday Overlay" will be installed, but again, that is just a guess.:)

Hopefully, someone will post the definitive answer soon.:)

Awww- this has been my younger dd's favorite ride since she was 2. She will be so sad not to be able to ride in Sept!

OH NO, I am so sad about those dates. We are going from Sept 21 to Oct 13th and IASW is one of my favourites and I am so :sad1: that it will be closed when we are there.

crap on a cracker.

It's my family's 4th trip, but our 1st "big (19hpeople) trip" so I was hoping to have everyone experience it since they probably won't go back.

Plus, I just got a kick butt video camera....:headache:

Oh no! :( We are going Sept 27th-Oct 6th and the kids will be so sad. Ds 6yo said when we came out of the ride last month, "Mama, wasn't that so fun! I really like that one!". Bummer!

With the fantasyland refurb and possibly , the barnstormer and toontown shut down for good soon now the closing of another attraction for a short period of time, that will have the same amount of people in the park with longer lines throughout. Wonder if this will cause people to wait til all the construction is complete.
