I hadn't read anything about the special experience at It's A Small World Holiday. During the castle lighting that is held 2 times before the fireworks, there is also snow on and around this attraction. If you are there for the first snowing, stay for a few minutes and see the Nutcracker music and lighting of It's a Small World Holiday.

We stumbled on this last night at 5:45. It was awesome! We were also in line at 5:00 when they turned on the exterior lights for IASW. It was better than the lighting of a Christmas tree:banana:

It sounds so wonderful.:santa::cloud9: I wish I could go and see it. It makes me miss not going to DL during November/December.:sad1:

I just found out that IASM is going to be closed for most of next year! :scared1:
I love that ride! Wahhhhhhhhh!!!!:sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

I stumbled on the special show last night as well, right after they do the "snow" on the castle (and they run snow in IASW plaza), they have projection images timed to music on the facade of IASW. Reminds me of the kind they did with the 50th fireworks.. it was VERY cool.

There are multiple opporunties to watch "lighting ceremonies" , it's a nice littel suprise to stumble on them:

Announcement at dusk.. count to 3 and everyone yells "Happy Holidays" and the tree on Main Street lights up.

Light up HMH for the evening. An announcement, some music and poof all the lights outside come on.

And at the Reindeer Roundup.. Mrs Claus and Kris ask everyone to help light the tree at dusk. Very sweet to watch with all the kiddos around.

I thought it was odd.. they pipe in the "snow" music into Fantasyland.. but the back side of the castle does not have the firberoptic display, can see only the edges of the icicles on the sides. Very odd to make wishes about snow.. and you can't see the effect??? It looks unfinished on the Fantasyland side.. like maybe the imagineers didn't think of ALL the sides of the castle. :confused3

Thanks for the tips, more to see, I can't wait we have never been at christmas.:santa:
