It's a Small World goodbye section recent changes

We rode twice in December and we didn't see our names or info on the signs either time.

Ah! I had not thought of that. They looked painted. But maybe the big signs were actually digital.

Included a picture of what I saw.

Google "small world personalized goodbye" and you'll see that those are the digital signs. They don't get personalized for every boat that goes through. When we got a goodbye we were the only ones in the boat who got it. So it's not a given even when they are up and running for any particular boat going through.

Names were up last week, too. It was actually the first time I'd seen them working...on our previous Happy Cruises Around the World they've been generic goodbyes :-)

We have yet to see our names in lights on IASW or EE - but we constantly see our names on the SM exit.

I personally think it's a neat feature and hope it sticks around.

Where do they have this in Everest? I don't recall seeing anything earlier this year. But I did see our names at the end of Mission: SPACE several times (those you really had to pay attention to notice, and not everyone's name is included).

What?! As often as I go, I've never noticed names at the end of Mission Space or Everest for that matter! I've always wondered why IASW was the only ride with personalization.

Where exactly do we look to see the names on those other rides?

Doesn't Haunted Mansion also use your bands to personalize the hitchhiking ghosts?

It was working in April when we were there. However, I noticed that it only ever seemed to pick up the kids' names and not the adults. Perhaps Disney set it so it only pulls names from the Magic Band for kids? Perhaps in order to avoid people putting stupid things on their registered name and having it flashed up on the screen?

OMG, I never knew other rides did this either.

I've only noticed names in the Everest queue before boarding. There look like advertisements, but company names can actually be guest names. (Might not be obvious if you have a common name)

Oh my!!!!! I never knew this! I wonder if any of you guys would have pics of these other places!?!?

We got through the queue super fast, so that would explain why I didn't notice. Thanks!

At Mission: SPACE, it's in the play area at the end. If you just high tail it out of there, you'll never see it. But if you're on the bench by the slides waiting for someone you'll see it. As you're exiting the hallway and going into the post-show, turn to your right (almost a u-turn). There are 6 or 8 screens that are showing "profiles" of some "astronauts". I saw my kids' names and hometown (I think) show up periodically in those.

Will look for those screens this Summer! Thanks!
