its a small world closure - confirmed

Say it isn't true!!!
Where will we go now to escape the heat this summer? Dw will be pleased, personally I'm quite sad about it!

The attraction will undergo a massive rehab to clean, fix, refurbish, add, paint, flush, scrub, install, and construct.

I wonder how much $$$ they will pull from the bottom? I know DS has to throw some coins in the water there every trip.::yes::

At first, I was very sad that IASW will be closed during our next visit. It's one of only two rides that I've been on every single trip (Haunted Mansion is the other one). But I'm really glad that they're taking the time to really clean the ride up and get it back in excellent condition. I'd rather miss riding it for one trip than see it fall into disrepair.

Bummer. Now I will have to go around magic kingdom singing "it's a small world" at the top of my lungs and embarrass my ds.::MickeyMo

I have a feeling you won't be the only one singing ...

It's time for a rehab of "It's a Small World." You would think they would do this during a slower time of the year? I'm sure it will be great when it comes back.:wave2:

Boo Hoo!:( This is one of the things I remember so clearly from my last trip. I am going to miss it by 2 days.

I guess I will just have to go back next year to check out the new and improved IASM. :sunny:

Miss it on both trip this year:( but looking forward to seeing it after the rehab,I bet it will be awesome once again::yes:: :) and it will be something to look forward to on future trips.::yes:: :wave2:

but that is the best WDW news I've heard in ages.
::yes::

Have never really cared for that attraction. Yes, I know it's a Walt original etc. and I don't want it to go away for good because I know so many people love it. Just glad that I'll be spared it on this trip.

Sorry...

DARN IT!!!! I'll be at MK on June 2.........looks like I'll have to ride it!!!! haha:bounce:

Mixed emotions...my girlfriend and I will be at MK just before they close small world...so at least we will get to ride it the way it is one last time...but it guess it is time for a little clean-up...I hope the overall attraction remains the same. There is something about hearing that song over and over...that really reminds you that you are in the happiest place one earth.

well, it could use an update, but i hate to miss it on our november trip (trip countdown needs changed-we're now 200 days out!).

guess i'll have to schedule another ap trip in the spring to check it out!

We'll miss it on the next 2 trips. I must say that IASW in WDW doesn't even come close to the IASW in Disneyland!::yes::

Not everything at WDW is better! IASW in Disneyland especially at Christmas time is a MUST SEE! BEAUTIFUL!princess:

Fortunately we'll be able to sneak a trip or 2 on IASW before the rehab. Well fortunate for my GF.... not so fortunate for me. :) J/K I still enjoyed it, but I'll never admit it ;)

:( bummer

it is one of the things we always skipped in the past but had planned to do this trip

oh well maybe in 2006:)
