it's not that unpopular, actually haha.
the only people who seem to really dislike it are people who obsess over the HM, like me.
the HM was the first thing to get me hooked on Disney trivia/facts.

What are your thoughts on the new HHG effects?

I thought they were a good upgrade, and I'm a person who believes that the classic attractions should not be touched.

fun story: I was there the first day they were functional. (we went Sunday and the tarps were still up, we went Tuesday and they were running)
I miss the old ones, but if they had to be upgraded, I think it's fine. I just wish they didn't look so obviously like projections, you know?

Yes, it seemed blatantly obvious they were projections.

I think the Animatronics gave them more of a realistic quality, though this version is more fun.
