It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

For those of you who have attended a special party before....

I made a reservation at Kona Cafe for 5pm that day we are going to MNSSHP. I know the party doesn't technically start until 7pm, so I am not going to miss anything by eating at 5pm and going after, right?? I have read that a lot of people head over early but it's not necessary, right?? Any insight would be helpful. Gotta feed the OCD. :thumbsup2

Also...we won't look like fools if we are dressed as pirates for dinner, will we? I am assuming that it would be allowed.

You can get into the park at 4:00 with your party tickets, but that won't be a necessity for you since you are there for the week. NOTHING party-wise starts until 7:00 so you will definitely be fine eating at Kona at 5:00.

My guess is that you will not be the only ones dressed up at dinner that night. :goodvibes

When we checked in at ASMov I asked the CM about taxis to transfer us and our bags to WL. He said that if that's what we wanted to do then no probs but he thught we'd be better arranging for baggage services to transfer our bags for us and just get the bus to MK and then the boat over to WL. We did this and it was fantastic, the bags didn't arrive til around 4:30pm but this wasn't a prob we were very happy with the service:thumbsup2 .

One more question on this issue... When you took the bus to MK and the Boat to WL did you take like any of your carry-on bags with you or just your normal bag for the parks? I'd just be worried if our luggage didnt get their till 430pm we might need something from it.

Alright, let me tell you, it is totally awesome to get in there early..but...

for your first party, it's nice to enter slightly before the actual start time because the MK is all decorated and appropriately set up and let's just leave it at that so I don't ruin anything for you.

I love that feeling of entering the park then. It's a huge adrenaline rush for me...especially if it's not raining! :worship:

Oh, and about the costumes...have you seen what DH and I wear? ;) I think you'll be fine.:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I'm thinking we can just hold off on our pirate mickey ears until after dinner.

Thanks for the advice!! I am so so so excited. I printed off the list/plan this morning to take to work. DF was looking at it and he was really impressed with all that I did. :goodvibes He was especially happy about the last few days not being as jammed packed.

I am going to go through DIS withdrawals today. I have to cover the front desk all afternoon(no internet, boo!) and then I am going to "Sex and the City" woo hoo!!

Ask as many questions as you like I don't mind:)
We just took a small rucksack with our essentials in it. You could probably take some bits and pieces and your stuff for the pool and use the towels from the pool side. If you wanted to take a sports bag with items you think you may want that should be okay on the bus.

Gabriel and you call him Gabe for short!

Alright, CP, I give you muchos, muchos kudos for trying, because that is actually what I originally wanted to name him. However, DH wanted Gabriello, and I insisted on Gabriel, and totally wanted to call him Gabriel or Gabe...however, since we couldn't agree, we decided we needed to pick something else. Which truly worked out just as well, because in truth, my little nut does not look like a Gabriel. :lmao:

Oh, I'm so glad. The lists are working for you...DF hasn't run away from them in terror ;) ...it's all going according to plan! :thumbsup2

I wondered why your thread wasn't busy tonight. I hope you enjoy the movie, and puh-lease, pretty puh-lease, let us know how you like it without revealing any major plot points...I am dying to see it but probably won't get there until next weekend! :goodvibes

Thanks! Im really concerned with like DF's laptop, We dont trust them to not break it or something and DF would prob get us kicked out if someone hurt his laptop :rotfl: (He's a IT guy)

Agghhh, I was so sure with that one -- I could feel it in my bones!!!

I am impressed that I got that close! :goodvibes

The movie was very very good, there was even spontaneous clapping by the audience during it. I cried through most of it. The whole subject matter of the movie just really got to me since we are so close to the wedding. Ugh. I swear every 5 minutes I was wiping away tears. Then I get in my car and I just start balling almost the whole way home. I think it's more because I was just thinking about how lucky I am that I found a wonderful man like DF (here come the tears again!) and how happy I am. I feel like I haven't been fair to him during the wedding planning and how I just need to enjoy this last month and be happy and be in love and just...yeah. I am sure that not everyone will have such an emotional reaction. :faint: Yep..this is what Sex and The City: The Movie did to me.

DF is at his bachelor party right now. I miss him even though I know he is having a very good time. I think the movie did a number on my emotions tonight. I am just a teeny bit worried, only because the doctor just put him on high blood pressure medicine and he's not really supposed to drink while taking it. :confused3 And cause I love him, of course I am worried. I know he will be fine but you know, it's the nature of the beast.

I think LL is going to go to bed soon! ::yes::

I was go

Wow! The movie did a big number on your emotions tonight! It sounds good, though.

Did the two and a half hours feel like two and a half hours?

Not really, I didn't want it to end. It was quick paced, nothing was dragging and I really liked Jennifer Hudson's character it was a nice additon.

To top of the emotional evening, I just got an email from one of my bridesmaids and her bf of forever (9 years) proposed! Queue the waterworks...again.
