It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

You are spoiling me with Sunday night updates! :goodvibes Another good one... as always!
I really enjoy the Sunday night updates as well. Starts the work week off on the right foot!

I like shopping in MGM (yes, MGM it will always be to me!). That villan book you bought sounds really cute. I hate regretting not purchasing something! There's always next trip for those other items you didn't get.
That's right! I kept telling Marc, next trip! all week. :lmao:

I amazed at kids stamina for things like dance parties and swimming after midnight. Too bad they can't bottle that energy!!
Most of the parents looked worse as they were sitting around the pool!

I really like the tradition you and Marc have developed of debriefing on the day and planning the next while night-swimming. I know what you mean about "the plan" weighing heavily on you and not feeling it. Sometimes I think we don't do ourselves any favors with all of this obsessive planning b/c afterall even though I have every single one of my meals mapped out, how the heck do I know what I want to eat 3 weeks from now? I think you have to make room for those game day decisions.

Cliff hanger!!

A romantical evening at the Poly sounds divine. I am becoming obsessed with that resort!
We really enjoyed the swim at the end of the day as well. I think if we can we will keep up that tradition. It was nice. I think we tweaked our plans quite a bit during the trip.

Great update!:) I have never done the emh at DHS. I am glad that the dessert was good. You also gave me a great idea to go swimming late at night. It seems like a perfect way to end a busy day. The villians store is really cool. We were just talking about going there. I am all about shopping!;)
It really was relaxing and it was nice to unwind!

What? No gratuitous mention of TK?

DID YOU AT LEAST THINK OF ME??????????? ;)

In all seriousness, thank you, thank you. I love that picture! I did see some Jack artwork in my travels, but not this one, and I love that grin. Tink knows why. ;) ;)
I meant to put that in there, I really did. Everytime we saw something pirate related I took a picture and said, "For TK." I think Marc got sick of hearing it. ;)

Wow! I can't believe all those kids were out there at 1 a.m.!

What a nice way to end each evening, with a swim. Sounds perfectly magical! :wizard:
I couldn't believe it either. I was sitting there trying to figure out their touring style to see how they could have the stamina for the parks! :lmao:

Great update! I love how your husband kept asking if you wanted to eat the dessert, that is just like a man. That totally sounds like something DH would do!
Seriously. Just tell me you want to eat and we can sit and eat. Men. Pfffft.

Lovely update to go along with my chocolate chip muffin and coffee. :goodvibes

I would have been annoyed at the whole dessert thing also. :headache:

:rotfl2: about seeing family at The Little Mermaid! Do you ever start humming Poor Unfortunate Souls when "she" is around?

I do hope that you made it to Animal Kingdom sometime during the week that you were there!
I don't hum it because she knows we think she is Ursula and it makes her mad. TOO BAD! :lmao: I did tell my mom and brother that we should play "Nobody Mourns the Wicked" from Wicked at her funeral. Yes that is bad but again, you don't know my Ursula. My mom and brother laughed, my brother thinks it's a great idea.

;)

Great Update AGAIN!!! I can't wait to see what is coming next!!!! I have to agree with you on the decision not to hurry up for AK......but something tells me you will be visiting there later in the week.
You will just have to wait and see. ;)

I have to agree with everyone else...Great update!!! :thumbsup2 But I'm looking forward to more. :goodvibes
Thanks! :goodvibes

First up was the Villian Shop. I had so much fun in there looking at all the great Villian products. They even had a DHS magnet and in the contained some of them still said MGM. I almost bought one but didn't. I should have. I did by this really cool Villian Book, it's the case files on the Villians and they have all this cool info. I was very excited about it.

I loved this book too! I flipped through the whole thing. Shoulda bought it!

We went to Voyage of the Little Mermaid next. We were one of the last people to get into the waiting area. We didn't wait very long either just a few minutes. I just love this show, Marc had no idea what to expect either and he really enjoyed it as well. Plus it gave us time to say hello to family...Ursula aka my grandmother. Hehehehe. For those of you who don't know, I call my grandmother Ursula. My cousins and I have since we saw The Little Mermaid. She looks just like and acts just like her. And no. I am not kidding.
:lmao: That is too funny. I love Ursula. I was raised in a church where at 13 we got confirmed and had to choose our favorite saint, whose name we would take on as an additional middle name. I chose Saint Ursula so I could have that as my middle name

I can't believe how late you guys stayed up that night  we were always so wiped out by the time we got back to the room. And I have to say that I like Animal Kingdom and there are some things there that I really enjoy - like Expedition Everest, FOTLK and Yaki & Yeti - but it's not a must-do park for me. On our past 8-day trip I only went once, which meant that my boyfriend (who was along for half the trip) didn't make it there at all (it's one of my selling points for convincing him to go back ;) )

Our Tour Guide was meh. He didn't speak english well which didn't translate to a great ride. He was trying hard and you could tell he enjoyed his job so I give him an A for effort. I was really hoping that we would get the Mobster who took over our tram but alas I got the Cowboy...again. Who was worse than our Tour Guide.

....

My past two trips they haven't even been running the first cars to see the Cowboy, and when they have, they wouldn't let anyone sit in that car. It's been so annoying! I'm sick of the mobster. I just wanted to see the cowboy once this trip, but no such luck.

THE BROWN DERBY! This is one of those times where I was so happy that I was somewhat flexible on our trip. We made a lot of tweaks while we were down there and I am glad that I didn't go park commando and just went with the flow as much as humanly possible for a DISer. This was the BEST MEAL EVER. I am pretty sure that Marc says this is his #1 Meal while we were down there. I have not committed to naming my #1's until later on, I've got a special post dedicated to them. So there.

..

I'm so glad you got to try the Brown Derby. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Disney. Yum!

Oh and next time I really want to try the Cold Water Lobster Corn Bisque. My love of cobb salad won out this time around.

Definitely try it next time. My friend had it last year and it was delicious! I was tempted this year, but had to go with the crab cake that I love.

That's too funny about your grandmother. My younger niece adores Ursala. She's one of her favorite characters. Even two years ago when she was only 2 we went to see the show and all these other kids were crying when she came out. Not my niece. Was laughing and clapping. Weird!

The Pop bus line was jammed packed. The was the longest bus line we encountered all week. There were 4 different people waiting in those things electric thingys. What the heck are they called? I am having a brain fart. You know what I am talking about. Anyways. One bus pulls up and the first three load up. I am thinking NO WAY are we getting on this bus. Just then another Pop bus pulls up and pulls up right along side the other bus. There is no room for the other lady in the electric thingamabob to load. She starts freaking out. FREAKING OUT. Saying it's not fair and yada yada yada. I wanted to tell her it's not fair to everyone else to have to wait precious disney minutes for them to load all the time. I bit my tongue. I was tired. I realize this makes me sound like a bad person but look at how long everyone else has to wait all the time, and for someone who usually gets on first to be complaining like that was a bit ridiculous. The CM also told her that the other bus had already left Pop and was heading to her right then. So it wasn't like she had to wait for those two buses to come back. We ended up standing on the bus on the way back.

I don't blame you. I found myself thinking the same thing a few times while on vacation. Everyone has to wait!

I found you off CP's PTR and have LOVED every minute of your report! All the pictures are awesome. :thumbsup2

ETA: I would have TOTALLY been annoyed with the dessert thing too. And how your DH did it would be exactly the same way mine would. Why the heck don't they just say what they want? A "Honey, I want to eat my dessert now, and I would love it if you sat beside me while I ate." would be much, much better!

Great update LL :woohoo: I'll have to look out for those books in the Villain shop next year they sound fabby:cool1:
They were really awesome. I wish I had bought more.

You went to bed in Disney at almost 3am???? You wild woman you!!! :lmao:
That's me! :lmao:

I loved this book too! I flipped through the whole thing. Shoulda bought it!

I couldn't believe it either. We burnt the candle at both ends during our vacation. Which is probably why it took me two weeks when we got home to catch up on sleep!

It seems like we have the opposite problem.

Brown Derby is on our must do again list.

Ursula is my villian. She is by far my favorite. :thumbsup2

It's so true.

Hey.

LL.

Would you like some dessert now?

;)

And  for Marc.

Ain't marriage grand?
:headache: Hehehe.

See, LL thought of me! ;)
Yes I did. It was kinda scary. ;)

I found you off CP's PTR and have LOVED every minute of your report! All the pictures are awesome. :thumbsup2

Welcome and thanks for reading!!

So true! Why can't they just speak what they want. :rolleyes1
