Hey TigerKat, welcome!
bluezoo managed to exceed my high expectations. Now I've got too many things on my must do list!

Hi there! :flower3: I also made my way over from oybolshoi's thread. No time to catch up now but marking my place so I can look forward to some good reading this evening! :)

Yes! I've got tickets for 12/11 and 12/14. What about you?

Ah, MVMCP brings back memories of perhaps our best trip. We LOVED that vacation....and we still think back to snuggling under blankets on the street drinking the free hot chocolate eating the yummy cookies while watching the parade and then it started to "snow".
You'll have a fantastic time! I'm so envious! ;)

I've been trying to put aside and surprise Chuck with tickets for the 11th, but things keep coming up! Only a little over two months now!!! I'm not giving up!

I hope it works out! It would be fun to see you there. I can hear the Christmas music now...

What a sweet memory! It's funny, because it's not like MK is less special or fantastic during regular hours, they just manage to make it extra-ultra-special for the parties.

Circusgirl - you are doing a great job with your TR! :thumbsup2

I don't think anyone could do a better job of describing the festive atmosphere at MNSSHP. I'm anxiously standing by to hear more.

All caught up now and I LOVE your report! In random order:

You take great photos! :thumbsup2

Caribbean Beach looks like it needs to go on my wish list!

I love the Muppets too!

Thanks for the TSM photos. I hope to ride it in a few weeks but since I'm not a rope drop/run for the fast pass kind of gal nor a wait in line forever kind of gal I'm not sure I'll get the opportunity. It looks neat!

I'm hoping to eat at Beaches n' Cream this next trip!

Your pictures have me so excited for Mickey's Not So Scary! :yay:

I love that you were a roller coaster security blanket -- I need one of those b/c I'm a big chicken!

Loving your TR. :goodvibes I also followed you over here from Brenda's thread. Thank you for all the pics from CBR. I will be staying there for the first time this December, it looks great! Seeing the pics from MNSSHP is making me really miss it and the F&W festival this year but I'm looking forward to seeing all the Christmas decorations. My DD and I will be going to MVMCP on the 11th too. I can't wait.

Thanks, madbrad! I have two more parties to go in this trip, and they were each totally different experiences, so more kinds of festiveness to come!

I'm so glad you're enjoying my report!
I love your user name - it so describes how I feel about Disney and my other favorite things in life. How did you choose it?
You're going really soon - you must be getting super excited!
Beaches and Cream became a favorite of mine the moment I set eyes and spoon on the No Way Jose. They also make a mean cheeseburger. I love the whole beach vacation vibe of the resort.
I have been excited to hear that there are new Muppet/Disney creations in the works. I hope they capture the sweet goofy humor so characteristic
of the original creators.
The Caribbean Beach has always been a good experience for me. The resort has a relaxed feel that is terrific after time at the parks, and the landscaping and beach spaces are beautiful. Each of the villages has its own beach, chairs, hammocks and pool so you can have a quiet experience near your room or a more exciting one at the main pool. I look forward to going back in December! More pix to come!
I'm wondering if there is a new branch of support services to be developed around roller coaster riding. What a fun job that would be :goodvibes .

Glad you found your way here!
The Christmas decorations are fantastic and incredible, and the immersion is so complete that even the Hess gas stations pipe in the Christmas music. You are going to have a fabulous holiday time!

I'm off work today and tomorrow so I hope I'll be able to get another day's worth of report done. Back soon!

Loving the Trip Report. I can't wait until I go...

Solo trips don't sound bad at all... this may be a possibility for me on my birthday.

Solo trips rock! There are always times when I wish there was someone there to share the moment, but it is fun to be able to be spontaneous and to follow my bliss. I have many cool Disneyversations (the kind of talk you fall into with people waiting in line or passing the time before shows, parades and park opening) with people from all over the world that probably wouldn't happen if I were with someone. There is plenty of fun to be had!

September 6th - R.I.P. Banana Butterscotch Buzz Buzz Buzz

Today was the day I discovered that my favorite dessert in all the World is no more. Let’s have a moment of silence for the Pinnacle of Dessert Perfection, the Banana Butterscotch Buzz Buzz Buzz. Strangely named dessert of cool dreamy butterscotch brulee nestled on perfectly crispy thin pastry layers with caramelized bananas of succulent sweetness all around, I will dream of you often. I am normally a no holds barred chocolate kind of girl, but this luscious concoction was was the Supreme Being from the Dessert Planet.

When I awoke in my little tropical room, I didn’t know there would be sadness at day’s end. I woke up somewhat reluctantly (did I go to bed early enough last night - of course not!) but was able to accept the prompt of the alarm after a few snooze cycles. I only needed coffee this morning because I was off for early morning breakfast with Pooh and Co. Stacy kept me company after I checked in with the weather watching channel to see if any of the chain of brewing churning hurricanes was showing signs of coming this way.

The storms of yesterday had been replaced by clear blue skies. I made my warm and sunny way over to the TTC, walked in from my super close parking place and took the resort monorail over to the Magic Kingdom. It was just before 8 am when I arrived. I didn’t know about early morning breakfast at the Crystal Palace until last year when I took the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. We started out on our tour before park opening and when I realized you could make a breakfast reservation and enjoy early morning park whenever you wanted, I got on my phone right then and made several reservations for that very week.

It’s great to get a chance to wander Main Street and the hub in the beautiful light and take pictures of a relatively (sometimes absolutely) unpopulated scene. I checked out the special Halloween touches, took pictures in the hub, admired the Castle and then went over and checked in for breakfast.

There’s usually a bit of wait from check in to seating here, so I found a bench in the sun and relaxed. When Winnie the Pooh and friends had my table ready I went inside to score cheesy potatoes, Puffed French Toast, fruit, smoked salmon, bacon, sausage, pastries and biscuits, not to mention the fuzzy love of a few good characters.

Well and truly full of breakfast delights, I didn’t hurry right out at park opening. My experience at the party last night had been the satisfying doing of many things with no waiting so I felt I could be more leisurely today. I meandered over to Adventureland first and signed up for a bad joke laden trip on the rivers of the world. Jungle Cruise is one of those rides that I won’t wait very long for, but love for its cheesy ridiculousness and also because I remember being thrilled by the exotic travel when I was a child, especially the elephants that might squirt the boat. We had an exceptionally skilled skipper, and returned safely despite the many dangers encountered along the way (including the bad jokes).

I walked past Pirates and bypassed Splash Mountain for now, not being ready for potential dousing. Boat after boat came down the hill empty. If the park wasn’t also empty it might have been an ominous sign. Thunder Mountain seemed like a good way to continue my morning, so went over to yee-haw my way through the Wil-derness.

There were so few people in the queue that the cast members were just letting people choose where they wanted to sit. I headed into the station and was starting to go to the back of the train when my new destiny as roller coaster security blanket called again. A preteen girl saw me coming and said, “Oh good! You can ride with me!” She was near the front of the train, but I figured destiny was destiny so I joined her. Her name was Megan and she was anxious. She was also celebrating her 12th birthday. She chattered about the ride and then we settled ourselves in the car when the train pulled in.

She put her fingers in her ears for the ascent up the bat cave and then held tight to the lap bar for swooping and descending. She was full of nervousness and also was made more worried by the noise in the uphill threatening to collapse tunnel. As the very end of the ride she told me how scared she had been to try it. When we got out of our train she took off running to meet her family in the watching/waiting area outside and as I passed her she was exclaiming, “I did it, I did it!” Good for you, Megan the birthday girl!
I'm glad to have been your CSB.

I went around and rode one more time (still no line), in the back and by myself. There were crowds of people in dream ears leaving the Splash Mountain area as I passed by on my way to the wooden walkway along the water to Liberty Square. I figured the Haunted Mansion would be easy later when other things had gotten more crowded so passed through to Fantasyland. I never tire of going off to Neverland, so I flew with Peter and Tinkerbell. Winnie the Pooh was next on my list, partly because it was getting close to 10:30 and there often seems to be dream activity in that location at that time. Sure enough, after a lovely ride through a stormy day in the 100 Acre Wood the Dream Squad was at the exit, looking at their watches. I ran around and jumped back on (still still no line) and when I came to the exit, they were handing out Dream Fastpasses. I did a happy dance of joy to thank them and then headed on to Tomorrowland.

I rode Buzz several times in a row but had fallen under a spell of super low scores so gave up and was walking back toward the hub when I noticed that the Laugh Floor was about to start a show so decided to give it a try. I found it amusing last time I was here, and liked the funny displays in the lobby.

I sat up in the back thinking that it would keep me out of range for inadvertent participation, but that turned out to be oh so wrong. I was genuinely startled when a CM with a microphone materialized at my side and my image jumped up on the big screen for all to see. My monster was the mind reading act and my job was to pick a number, say it out loud while he covered his eyes and then beam the number to him with my mind while making funny noises and doing silly things with my hands. It was harmlessly fun and did make it a memorable show for me. And besides, I'm cool - I've got this:

I retreated to the safe darkness of a Doom Buggy after that and enjoyed the cool spookiness of the HM. On my must do list for this trip was The Hall of Presidents, an attraction I had never seen. It was time for a long cool break anyway, and the next show time was close, so I went in and checked out the presidential artifacts until show time. This is another one of the attractions that calls to mind the wonder of my adult family when they first saw a Disney creation, in this case Mr. Lincoln. They could not get over how real he looked and kept talking about how amazing it was. I have to confess I spent a lot of time checking out the President's costumes.

oh, your leisurely day sounds so inviting!! Good for you to ride with the 12 yo and what fun that the MK was pretty empty that morning so you could do a bunch of rides anyway!

CONGRATS on the Dream FP!!! I'm still holding out hope to win a dream.

OOOH, Cali Grill -- YUM, YUM, YUM

Are you doing the postcards for YOMD? I did for a while and won some Dream Ears. Of course, with the cost of postage, they were fairly expensive Dream Ears...:rolleyes1

Despite the demise of the BBBBB dessert, the California Grill is still one of my favorites too.

Loving itpopcorn::

We were there Sept 3-9:yay:

It is so my new favorite time of year to go! :thumbsup2 I was fine with the heat most days and the lack of crowds is an incredible treat.

Congrats on the dream fastpass! I'll bet you were great in the Laugh Floor. I wish I could have seen that. I know I say this ever post, but we love all your pictures.
Less than two months to go until the next one!
