The beignets were horrible when I had them. Full disclosure. I do live in New Orleans so that may affect my judgment.

I'm bummed. I stayed there five years ago for my honeymoon and loved it! I really like that resort. Hopefully it will turn back around.

I think POFQ is awesome! So do many friends and family. I think a resort should be judged by EVERYTHING, not just one thing. I've had horrible meals at Deluxes that otherwise were beautiful. It would take many awful things happening all at once for me to say an entire resort sucks. And as always, like the say on the podcast, I think it's one person's opinion. I will not hesitate to stay at FQ. In fact I'd rather pay to stay there than get a free night at GF. It's gorgeous, relaxing, serene, and every meal we ate there was delicious!!

I agree with you. We stayed at POFQ for the past 3 trips and loved everything about it.

I could very well be that I don't know a good beignet from a bad one. I know the feeling; I can't find a chicken wing outside of Buffalo that I'd consider even halfway decent.

I stayed at POFQ for years before I joined DVC. It was my favorite moderate - so quaint, charming, and clean. I am sad to hear that things have gone downhill.

It's in the middle of a refurb now... 1/2 the buildings are done. Wonder if they put him in an old room too...
