Our boys are Luke and Drew. Had we had another, we would have named him after my brother Jack. I also liked Rex when I was pregnant with Drew, but DH vetoed that one. I tend to like one syllable names for boys - they seem more masculine to me. Of course, that would also depend on the baby's last name, whether its one or two syllable. Obviously a one syllable last name would probably sound better with a two syllable first name.

Congratulations on the upcoming birth!! Boys are such fun, mine are named Devin and Noah. Before we knew that our third was a girl I had Jonah picked out. I kind of like the idea of using your maiden name for a middle name, (if it works). My maiden name was French and there was no way I was going to give that middle name to any of my kids.

I've always liked the name Christopher but using the nickname Kit, instead.

Do you have any family names that would work? One of my son's middle names is Willson, his mother's mother's maiden name. It would have made a good first name, too but we liked Travis better I also love the names Austin and Houston (are you seeing a Texas connection here?)

If I had had a daughter I was going to name her Tyler Walker Wallace Johnson. All of those names are family names and since my son has two middle names we were going to give our daughter two middle names too.

I never had that daughter but I am finally getting one in July when Travis marries
