IT'S 6 IN THE MORNING! A 24hr, SWW,Birthday Adventure--Updated 1/25x3!!!-FINISHED

Katt, we are still in Florida and as I take a break from the pool (it's 100 in the shade), I'm trying to catch up a little bit on the DIS. I can't comment on everything.

I loved your last two set of updates. The pictures with Donald are wonderful...how fun is it that he walked you of stage.

The parade pictures are awesome at the Studios.

And LOVE the Tower of Terror picture.

Nice!! Glad you took some time to read my tr lol!! That's my plan for a bit of next week, sit by the pool & catch up lol.

Thank you!! Donald was amazing!! Such a great experience!

I know some people hate it (Star Wars Purists I guess), but even as a long time die hard Star Wars fan, I totally get a kick out of the stormtroopers being goofy.

Holy that second Tower photo is so empty!

Darth's Mall is where they had Oaken's for Frozen right?

OMG that Vader hug is AWESOME!!!! Honestly, what's the big deal. I once saw Vader dance to Thriller wearing a sequinned glove, and ride Dumbo at Disneyland. :confused3

Hahah, I love it, the goofier the better, makes it more fun for everyone!

Lol, right?!

Yes, yes it was.

Ahahaha, yeah, I don't think it's a big deal, Vader didn't seem to mind, who knows, maybe they were just "acting in character" like, "you don't hug darth vader" kinda thing, not a "you're actually not allowed" just staying with the theme of him being evil? Who knows?

As last stated, it was getting crowded….really crowded…and really hot…and wasn’t even ten in the morning yet…YIKES! Originally, we saw a great shaded, up against the rope spot for Motorcade, and even close enough we could probably catch some of the show! Of course, it was the special package viewing area, so after sitting there for 5 minutes we were told we couldn’t…. *sigh*

We moved down a bit to a semi shaded spot in front of the shops on the main street area, and I messaged Scott to let him know where we were, and he said he’d try to spot us!

And then we waited….and waited…and people watched….I also took the time to run into the shops to buy a tank top. I was SERIOUSLY DYING in the heat, and knowing it wasn’t even 10 yet, I knew I would die. I’d seen a cute Tinkerbell tank top earlier in the week that I hadn’t bought, so I figured it would do…clearly should’ve thrown one into my bag like I’d thought.

The people watching was pretty entertaining, there were a couple of young boys, one dressed like a storm trooper & one like a bounty hunter who were playing/play fighting nicely around the area (and completely adorable and not obnoxious, bonus) a girl beside us was full on in the slave Leia outfit….#awks and there were SO MANY people walking down the street talking about the “star wars nerds” and “why would you come to a thing like this” and such other comments, which I thought was odd…if you knew SWW was going on, and you DIDN’T LIKE Star Wars, why would you come to Hollywood Studios on a day it was going on, and the crowds were a million times heavier?! Eventually (I think it was about an hour later) the Motorcade started!! I’ve got a MILLION pictures between the two of us, so sorry for the length of updates, bahaha.

I adored all the Disney characters in their Star Wars outfits, SUPER CUTE!

Classic Minnie, always posing! So CUTE!

Oh Goofy! I think you may be forgetting something!! Following behind him were ALL the kids that were signed up for JTA that day, which I thought was SUPER COOL! Like, they all got asked to be in a parade because they were saving the galaxy from the dark side?! BEST DAY EVER!

Watch out! They’ll get ya! Seriously though, there were SO many people in Motorcade it was definitely bigger than I expected!

Also talk about huge….

I THINK that’s supposed to be Anakin? Bahaha From what I’ve seen of the costume it is, but I don’t think the friend fit the part very well…lol…

Also found out through Instragram that these guys will actually trade with you little things/knick knacks/half used sunscreen & the like when you see them wandering the park! We never managed to catch them, but it seems like it’d be SUPER fun to do lol!

Looks like some of the Jedi Council was starting to head out way? Followed by my personal favorites…the EWOKS!!

I JUST WANT ONE OKAY?!

Yeah….things were pretty hairy at this part of Motorcade!

Okay…I may have lied earlier…my favorite might actually be R2….

**** Ashley Es! The creator of the “her universe” clothing line, SUPER cool stuff if you ever get a chance to check it out! Fun fact, she also follows me on twitter which I didn’t realize til like, a month ago…boooo….Had no idea who she was before lol!

I wasn’t QUITE fast enough to catch her….

Just look at the lil guy! LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

I also like, really have a liking for her, but I can’t even really remember her name….and I haven’t seen any of the videos/played any of the games she’s in, she just sems super awesome and fun bahaha!

One of the new rebels, Sabine, made her debut this year at SWW

And WARWICK DAVIS!!!! Seriously freaking out over here, mainly because of Harry Potter, lets be honest, but super cool that we were able to see him!

I’ve got a ton of pictures of Zam because she’s just freaking AWESOME, like, actually, sure she has the TINIEST role in the movie, and dies right away (can someone enlighten me…is she in any of the cartoons/video games?) but after watching some Hyperspace Hoopla, and seeing pictures, I was completely in love, I mean, she’s a super bad *** chick, so why wouldn’t I love her?!

Not to mention…dem eyes…hello!

And here come the BAD GUYS! IT IS ABOUT FREAKING TIME…seriously though…Jenna and I true lovers of the dark side… #whoops

I was definitely a little hesitant as to what was going to happen when Maul came by, I mean, I’ve seen plenty of friends at work, and even Maul’s friend many a time in the past, but never while any of them were hanging out with some ruthless cold blooded sith lords….bahaha

Obviously as a Sith Lord you have to freak out the little kids that boo’ed you…bahaha!

And that was the last of it! We half followed the MOB of people up towards the stage, and decided it was best to just grab some pictures along the way, it was WAY TO FREAKING HOT to be able to stand outside in the blaring sun anymore.

Overall…a successful Motorcade, there was HUGE variety of characters, something for everyone, and it wasn’t too “parade-ey” that it made it weird or anything, everything was very in character! It was nice to see!

Jenna & I needed air conditioning, and STAT! The closest thing was Voyage of the Little Mermaid, so we jumped in line…only to find out that we wouldn’t be in until the NEXT showing, so we said BYYYYYEEEE and peaced over to One Man’s Dream! Obviously we enjoyed it, even if it was just to get out of the heat for a little bit, and it’s always a nice exhibit to see, especially for a first timer like Jenna!

While we were exploring, I double checked what exact times we would want to go see Maul for sets, and we decided we should probably head on over there to make sure we made it into one of the right ones!

Sorry you had to move from your more shady part, but what great photos of the Star Wars parade. We've been there during the Star Wars weekend, but never seen the parade, so enjoyed all those pictures. :)

I adore all your AK pictures....the kissing one with Donald has to be the best ever! The butterfly magic shots were pretty amazing as well.

Yikes on that Dinosaur picture! :scared1:

Your Yak and Yeti review was great. I need to try and squeeze that in sometime soon!

Nice call on the early/relaxing night.

Great start to your SWW day.

Bahahaha I so love listening to dumb people. “star wars nerds” and “why would you come to a thing like this” OMG that's too funny. Hello people... YOU'RE HERE TOO!!!

Aww Leia Minnie totally posing it up for ya.

The layout kinda reminds me of the Anna/Elsa processional.

I was thinking the same thing... That's a lot of performers.

Caught up! I have no idea how many more of your TRs I'm still behind on. :rotfl: I realized I haven't even subscribed to your newest one yet so I think I'll check out that one next and work my way backwards. ::yes::

I really enjoyed experiencing the 24 hour day through you. I had the live feed up on my desk at work but of course it wasn't anything like actually being there.

Love the Star Wars stuff so far. I want to get there for Star Wars Weekends someday. No idea when that will be as May and June are hard months for me to get time off.

Lol, the sun still stayed away for a little bit while we waited so it was okay!

Thanks! It was not much of a parade, but still a nice way to see all the characters that they had out for the events!

Awe! Thank you so much! We had a lot of great pictures that day!

YES! Y&Y is seriously amazing, it's such a great resturant!

Thanks!

LOL that is definitely the Goofiest looking Darth Vader I've ever seen!

Ahahah yes!

Right?! Like, you're here too & it doesn't make sense if you don't like star wars

She's adorable

Yeah, it's very much the same thing, especially since the processional wasn't in rehearsals til like 2 nights before it opened lol

Lol, it's just the 2 for now! I'll start my Oct one that I'm gonna try to keep "live" later today, but we'll see how that goes lol

thanks!! It was fun, I do wish we'd stayed more but we were still there for a long time and did a lot!

Thanks! SWW is definitely fun, we were glad at villains that we got to see a bunch of the characters I missed in sww so that's a good bonus

Darth Maul does greets back near the Backlot Tour, across from where Vader’s sets were, so we had no trouble finding it, and jumped in the line, figuring we would be fine time wise as Scott wasn’t out quite yet. The main problem being that the line was in the DIRECT sunlight, and heat, and anyone who knows me, knows that I am one PASTY kid, and burn super easily….I had my other shirt covering my shoulders partially, but was SAVED when I spotted a familiar face walking up the line!

It was Missy! We’d ran into her a few nights earlier at the Magic Kingdom, and knew we were both at SWW that day, but hadn’t actually planned a meet up. We chatted for a bit before she jumped in line with us, and was amazing enough to share her sunscreen with us, THANK GOODNESS! The time passed rather quickly with the three of us talking before her hubby, Franklin came to join and all of us enjoyed each other’s company while we prepared for the Sith Lord that was ahead….Franklin also noticed & commented on my Tower of Terror Fast Pass Phone case, said it wouldn’t be long before people wouldn’t know what it was lol! He asked if he could take a picture of it and obviously I obliged, although I had no clue I was also in the picture, bahah!

And then it was OUR TURN! ACK! Franklin also continued to take some shots from around the corner as we walked up to meet Maul, so these next three pictures are credited to him!!

We walked into the center of the greet area after passing off the photopass card and a phone for pictures and got circled a few times….

I think this is kinda just the go to for Maul, creep on ya, size ya up, see if he can take ya down and how quickly kinda thing (and hope he doesn’t get slice in two ? bahahah) We noticed while watching the group in front of us that he would get close to them, clearly getting into their space, but even though I knew his friend, I was seriously not prepared for the SPACE INVASION that was about to occur! Lol!

Obviously, when you know someone you can get a lot closer to them than the general guests you see in a day, and there was no lacking at all, lol! Both of us were laughing super hard, mildly uncomfortably, you know, the usual, bahaha, which resulted in what is probably my favorite picture of the day….

Yeah…we’re awesome….

Maul circled around a few more times before sinking in on Jenna’s side…to say hello? And she of course, had to show off her love of the Dark Side again…but don’t worry, there were no hugs this time around, bahaha!

It was a super random and kinda weird meet since we’re so used to the standard protocol with characters, with one that’s technically face, but doesn’t talk, and doesn’t like….pose for pictures…we had no clue when to really leave…but Jenna bounced right up in a boust of inspiration when she shouted “OH! I’ll fight you!” and proceeded to take out her lightsaber earring and wave it around a little bit!

Yeah…needless to say I don’t think he was too impressed….lol….he didn’t accept the offer (clearly he would win lol) so we took that as our queue to leave the space and let Missy & Franklin come on in to see him. We did wait for them to finish so we could say “see ya later”, thank them again for the sunscreen, and Franklin was quick to show me the pictures he’d gotten (they’re awesome, thank you again!) and then we said good bye for now, knowing we might see them again during the trip!

It was just nearing 1:00pm now, Jenna & I had done the main two things we’d wanted to over at SWW, and honeslty, the park was an absolute MESS, there were people EVERYWHERE, it was WAY too hot, not enough things indoors to doo (Missy even did say that the previous days of SWW she’d been to weren’t nearly as bad, so it wasn’t just us lol). I presented the idea of Epcot, the park we hadn’t been to, that was only a short boat ride away, and that we’d come back for Fantasmic, and could come do some more DHS stuff our last two days now that we’d done our SWW stuff!

Jenna agreed, but said she had to quickly stop and say hi to her other boyfriend before we left!

She really likes the second one as it looks like they’re about to take each other’s hands and skip off into the sunset and live happily ever after! Bahah, that girl, freaking love her!

Overall, our experience with Star Wars Weekends was not so great so far, I mean, we’d been there all morning, and had only done about 5 things….but it was way too hot, way to crowded, and by this point, neither of us had had anything to eat minus like, Uncrustables for breakfast! The people crowding the park were getting on our nerves as well, so we were BEYOND thankful to be out of Hollywood that afternoon and on a LOVELY, calming, and relaxing boat ride over to Epcot!

The pictures with Dath Maul are great! I am glad you knew his friend because that was some serious personal space invasion. :lmao:

Really your reactions in the picture's are awesome! It seems like he was very in character.

Nice call leaving HS I heard it is just crazy there for SWW, It is already a smaller park and to have large crowds, :crowded: no thank you!

Those pictures with Darth Maul are awesome! I think I would be pretty creeped out by him.

We watched the first episode of Star Wars Rebels last night and Jim was immediately in love with Sabine. So I pulled up your TR and showed him your photos of her and he about flipped out.

Great to get on TOT twice already ... and Jenna takes a great ride photo - like that first shot looks like a glamour shot or something :lmao:

Love when the stormtroopers and other characters are being silly and interacting with people. Odd about the Darth Vader handler ... maybe, like you said, just playing the role of "I can't believe someone would do that to Darth Vader?!?!?!?!"

Ok, (little?) girl in slave Leia costume does sound awkward ... also the people complaining about the "star wars nerds" that dared to show up to Star Wards Weekend. Like the people that complain that there are children at Disney World

Huge fan of the Disney Characters in Start Wars outfits. As a general rule I love any time is is a character dressed as another character

I love that the JTA kids get to be in the parade ... must be such a thrill for them! Heck, it would be a trill to me if I got to do it now! :rotfl2:

I heard that the jawas traded with people at the special dark side meal and read some tales of that - like yous said, they give you used up rolls of tape and half empty containers and stuff ... pretty funny

Sounds like a fun parade - sorry you had to move from your shady spot ... heat can definitely be bad at time on the streets in DHS

Ah DISmeets are so awesome, Spontaneous DISmeets are super awesome, but DISmeets with sunscreen... Priceless.

Haha, you actually looked scared walking up.

I've been so waiting for this since the FB photos. Honestly, I don't know how he kept a straight face. I would have busted for sure. Just awesome.

People like to complain because they're stupid, so I'm not surprised at all that that was the case there either.

And I'm all good with a million pictures because when we were there we didn't see the motorcade due to some happenstances.

Very cool assorment of characters and of the stars, really it just looks like it was awesome but ugh, imagining the heat takes away from some of the awesomeness.

One man's Dream is a good choice though, for sure and air conditioning is always a win.

Nice that you ran into Missy and Fraklin again.

I love how unbothered Jenna is in the picture, like, just smiling away while Maul circles you like a shark.

Probably a good choice to leave for Epcot, especially if it was that crowded.

I am laughing my you know off at your picturs with Darth Maul. I'm seriously :rotfl2:. What fun you girls had.

Ahahah, yeah, he definitely got super close to us, it was nice to know I knew his friend! I would've been super creeped out otherwise! Lol.

It was just too crazy for us to handle, and I'm super glad we ended up leaving!

Those pictures with Darth Maul are awesome! I think I would be pretty creeped out by him.

We watched the first episode of Star Wars Rebels last night and Jim was immediately in love with Sabine. So I pulled up your TR and showed him your photos of her and he about flipped out.

Lol, he's a total creep, lol. Ha! That's so awesome!! She seems super awesome, I'll definitely keep in mind to check out the new stuff from the Rebels!

Ahaha, it was awesome!!

Who knows? It might've been a "in character" thing, but it was odd.

Ah! Oh god, it wasn't a little girl! That would actually be horrible! She was around our age, and like, skinny enough, but it wasn't something I'd ever wear out to a park...Right?! It was super weird to me, like, go somewhere else if you don't like it! Hence why I stayed FAR away during frozen fun! Bahah

Motorcade was awesome, and a great way to at least see everyone that we might not have gotten to otherwise!

Spoiler alert, I traded with them at villains unleashed and it was like, THE highlight of the night for me....:cool1:

I've been so waiting for this since the FB photos. Honestly, I don't know how he kept a straight face. I would have busted for sure. Just awesome.

They're great! I was seriously so thankful for the sunscreen that day! It was brutal!

Hahaha I WAS SERIOUSLY SO CONCERNED, LIKE, PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!

I'm seriously surprised he could, Jenna & I were trying to devise ways to crack him when we'd been talking the night before, but we're just too chicken to actually do it, especially in front of people! Bahah

People like to complain because they're stupid, so I'm not surprised at all that that was the case there either.

Haha, well glad I could share a ton of pictures then!! We did enjoy it, and thanks to the shade, it really wasn't that bad heat wise for us either!

Right?! She's hilarious, a ton of the photos that we got from this trip are just priceless!!

Yeah, we did what we had to do and then left, it was just too much hassle otherwise!

I am laughing my you know off at your picturs with Darth Maul. I'm seriously :rotfl2:. What fun you girls had.

Ahahaha, excellent! We really enjoyed all the pictures we got, so I'm glad ya'll did too!
