Target has the 8g for $225 and it gets you a $30 Target GC. Best Buy has the same thing, only it's $229.99 there. But apparently the best is Walmart - $225 and get a $50 Walmart GC. It's an early bird item, though. (Hint: I bought a doorbuster TV on Walmart's website last year. Never had to stand in line for hours).

I think that the best you can do will usually include a gift card to make up for the fact that they store can't do deep discounts.

YET, on Cyber Monday last year (the Monday following Thanksgiving), Amazon discounted the ITouch lower than I've ever seen it as their Deal of the Day. They sold it for $158. when everyone else couldn't get anywhere close to that price.

Amazon has THE POWER.

Watch Cyber Monday. I am holding out because DD9 wants one for Christmas this year.

We would probably jump on that if there is a repeat!

Yep, just got the WalMart flyer...
$50.00 gift card...
But, it's a limited Black Friday deal.
Have to get up before dawn!!!
Hopefully they are offering more than a dozen of these cards.
Man, is WalMart at 5:00a.m. on black friday worth 50 bucks!

I buy refurbished Ipods from Apple at a discount. All three of my Ipods are refurbished. May not be as good as anything you can get from the big box stores but you don't have to get up at 5 AM.

I believe that it is an iTunes gift card like it was last year at walmart. Is that right? My mother asked someone there and that's what they said. Still 50.00 is 50.00. I need three though....

Yes, on black Friday the retail stores do some type of discount but not a huge one. Often though stores will provide an extra incentive, such as a gift card, that turns out to be a better deal.

walmart is the best deal Ive seen, although I haven't paid any attention to target since I know I wont be going there its over an hour away.. the itouch deal is ONLY for instore. You will not be able to buy it online AND get the gc. You also can NOT use the gc to pay for the itouch. You can use it in the next transaction though.. I plan on buying the 69 blue ray player with it making it 19$ If you go on walmart.com you can see the ad in full and see what is online AND instore.. all the toys go onsale at midnight and "doorbusters" (ie electronics) at 5am. There is also another deal that just came out today.. all wii bundles come with a 50$ gc you can read about all the "new" unleaked deals on any black friday website..

Heck, a $50.00 WalMart gift card is just as good as instant cash to us!

I just got a Target catalog/flier thing in the mail today. In it was a coupon for 10% off any iPod. On the cover is also a coupon for a Target gift card ($15, I think?) with any purchase over $150. Both are good through 12/24. Combine these, and you'll be doing great! Keep your eye out for this catalog!
